Day 13- Universal Studios Japan

Very very wet day had at USJ yesterday, but we made the most of it when we could. Surprised by the flying dinosaurs ride!

We also had an amazing time at the Supermario world. Going around collecting coins.

Safe to say an early night was had after that. by @jonnyox

Honeymoon Diaries
Day 12- Osaka
Bright lights and big heights

Whilst the weather was finally on our side for some tall sightseeing, we went up 170m to the Umeda Sky Building to get a view of Osaka.

We of course visited the Osaka pokemon centres and checked out the 3 legendary birds and the Pokemon cafe (sadly no space for us to eat).

So we took to the streets of Dotonbori known for its food markets and the infamous Don Quijote ferris wheel. Before finishing the night with some drag from a very British sounding queen in Eagle Osaka. by @jonnyox

Day 11- Kyoto

Really trying to fit in as much as possible into one day today as we left for Osaka the next day.

So castles, nightingale floors, temples with dragons 🐉 and bamboo forests & serene gardens.

Safe to say we’ve barely scratched the surface on Kyoto and so much to see next time we come back.

We also bumped into a friend from when we lived in Devon whilst in Kyoto, so he joined us for the garden tour ☺️ by @jonnyox

Day 10- Kyoto

Onsens, Castles, Markets & city life.

Starting the day off with a private onsen at the hotel, we then went for a walk around the impressive imperial palace before exploring the market & city life.

We ended the day with a lovely meal with amazing Wagu Beef before heading to a small gay bar (Apple) which had karaoke going on that we may or may not have participated in. by @jonnyox

Day 9- Odawara & Kyoto

Having travelled back down from the Hakone mountains, we had a spare few hours in Odawara before the bullet train, so we explored the castle and shrine.

On this leg of the journey the train takes you past Mt.Fuji, which you can definitely see and is definitely not covered by the cloudy weather.

Shortly after that, however, we suddenly saw sunlight, arriving in Kyoto to stunning weather. With a cute little message from the @mitsuigardenhotels wishing us a happy honeymoon.

After that we hit another Pokemon centre, where my boy was featured. Then we went for a nighttime walk of the inari shrines. by @jonnyox

Day 8 - Hakone

Starting the morning off in the biggest city in the world, we made our way to the central station (with a stop at a Pokemon centre of course)

A bullet train later and we were out of the city, heading up into the mountains for 24 hours of peace and calm, with two onsens, waterfalls and shrines. It has been a lovely rest from the city.

Plus wearing Kimonos for the first time was a nice experience by @jonnyox

Honeymoon Diaries Day 7- Tokyo

Pokemon & Our first shrine visit

A much quieter area to enjoy Pokemon at the Higashiikebukuro shopping centre. Including the pokemon sweets store as well as Pokemon Go Lab.

After that we headed for our first Shrine visit, at Meiji Jingu Shinto Shrine. Was a beautiful sight within the shinjuku area that was a complete change from the busy city we had become accustomed to! by @jonnyox

Day 6- Tokyo suburbs

Heading more into the suburbs, we got the opportunity to explore some of the quieter parts of the city… which was still pretty busy!

Then we headed to the Ghibli Museum, which was so amazing!!! After which we wondered back towards the station, detouring to hit the cutest little cat cafe 😍 by @jonnyox

Day 5- Tokyo (Shibuya)

A delayed start because I was so hungover from being drunk for the first time since Bristol Pride 🫠 but a geeky day out to our first Pokemon centre shop, as well as checking out the adidas store collaboration stuff.

Also included a late night trip to the arcades for some claw machine failures and a bit of arcade gaming by @jonnyox

Day 4 - Tokyo Disney day (post 2 of 2)

After being on the rides we stuck around to the their electrical parade with lots of colourful lights. Was cute ☺️

We then finished Disney day by going on the it’s a small world ride… cos it’s iconic by @jonnyox

Day 4- Disney Day (Post 1 of 2)

We made a day of it, plenty of steps but managed to see both parks and a decent number of rides! Weather was lovely too! by @jonnyox
