6 years ago I called my doctor's office, my voice shaking, and told the nurse who answered I wanted to start testosterone. I was terrified, not because of worry about what people close to me would say, but because I was worried about what might happen to me if I did transition.

When I decided to pick up that phone, I realized something. Not becoming who I knew myself to be would be more painful than anything a hateful person could do.

A lot has happened since then, some things sad, but also a lot of things that have become some of my happiest memories, I wouldn't change any of it, and that phone call remains one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself.

I still have a lot of growing to do and so much to learn, but I am endlessly grateful that I get to do it as myself 🏳️‍⚧️ 🖤 #transman #ftm #t-aversary #6yearsontestosterone by @joolsbevibing
