The rhythm of HBCUs doesn’t stop at the drumline.

For some, that cadence carried all the way to the crown and into leadership that still moves the culture today. ✨

For Jordan Williams, Aarin Carver, and Tori Nichelle, the rhythm on the field turned into an impact far beyond it.

I love to argue so I sent myself to law school.

I don’t know if I’m at a loss of words because I’m actually about to add to the 2% of black woman lawyers or the amount of essays I’ve written for applications. Nonetheless, I’m beyond grateful to be officially accepted into a law school and be able to continue my education as I aim to earn my juris doctor degree by starting law school this fall. In this political climate, it is simply a privilege to study or learn, and I refuse to take this opportunity for granted. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through the LSAT and law application journey. Thank you to Southern University for preparing me for something greater. What you’ve seen so far is literally just the beginning. Don’t ever get comfortable when it comes to my potential.

Your future sports & entertainment attorney is manifesting. Thank God.
