There’s truly no place like HOMEcoming! 💙💛✨

From grabbing the mic with @ayo___tae and hosting the Homecoming Pep Rally, to showing love to the @su_goldnbluez , partying at Good Company, reconnecting with my neos & prophytes, and celebrating my sisters’ FIVE-YEAR anniversary in our beloved sorority — this weekend was everything I needed and MORE! 🥹💕

The laughs, the love, the dancing, the memories, and most importantly, the PEOPLE made this homecoming one for the books!

Southern University will forever have a special place in my heart. There’s nothing like coming home to the people and places that helped shape who you are.

Until next year, JAGUAR NATION! 🐆💙💛

ONE WEEK UNTIL HOMECOMING! 💙💛🐆

Alumni, the countdown is officially ON — and we know the real Homecoming weekend starts THURSDAY! 😂 From Thursday night all the way through Saturday, there are plenty of places to be, people to see, and memories to make.

I dropped some of the spots and events happening throughout Homecoming weekend in the video, but now I need to know where EVERYBODY is going. 👀

📍 THURSDAY — Where are you starting the weekend?
📍 FRIDAY — What party/event is a MUST?
📍 SATURDAY — Where are we going after the game?

Drop your Thursday, Friday & Saturday lineup in the comments! 👇🏾 And if I missed a party or event everybody needs to know about, TAG IT!

Let’s build the Homecoming itinerary in the comments. 💙💛

The winner is… Simone! 🏆⚖️

When I started the Pay It Forward LSAT Prep Giveaway, my goal was simple: I made it to law school, and I wanted to help someone else get one step closer.
What I did NOT expect was to receive dozens of applications from future attorneys with stories, goals, and dreams that made choosing just one person incredibly difficult. 🥹

So, I called in reinforcements. 😂 I asked three of my fellow 2Ls to join me in reviewing the applications, and after reading, discussing, and ranking our finalists, Simone stood out to all of us.

She is a first-generation aspiring law student preparing for the October LSAT with her sights already set on Southern University Law Center. What stood out even more was her resilience, her intentional plan for using this opportunity, and her commitment to creating greater representation in the legal profession.

There was also something full-circle about choosing someone standing where my colleagues and I were not too long ago… waiting, studying, hoping, and working toward that law school acceptance.

Simone, congratulations! 🤍
Use every session. Ask every question. Take that LSAT. Submit that application. And when that acceptance letter comes, remember how badly you wanted it at this stage.
You’re officially one step closer. ⚖️

Thank you to every future attorney who trusted us with their story and applied. This may have started as a way for me to give away the LSAT prep I had left, but reading your applications reminded me exactly why I called it Pay It Forward.

P.S. — To everyone who applied, I haven’t forgotten about you! My colleagues and I are putting together a separate list of LSAT and law school resources that I’ll be emailing to every applicant. AND after speaking with Dr. Belle, we’ve also worked out a special LSAT prep discount for everyone who applied! 👀
All the details will be sent directly to your email, so be on the lookout. 💌⚖️
