If you’re anything like me, it’s easy to stick to the exercises you already know. But sometimes switching things up is exactly what keeps training fun (even if it means looking a little chaotic 😂) but I’m so here for it!! Don’t be afraid to try something new, you might end up loving it 😅What’s an exercise that humbled you the first time you tried it?👇🏼Wearing @gymshark @gymsharkwomen 🩵#gym #gymhumour #gymlife #gymgirls #gymshark by @jorgrees

Things that have genuinely helped me stay consistent during a cut as a girly with ADHD. 🤍For the longest time, I thought I needed more motivation. The truth is, I just needed more structure and a routine that actually worked for my brain. These are the habits that have made the biggest difference in my journey, and they’ve helped me stay consistent even on the days I don’t feel like showing up.✨ Please remember that these are what work for me and my current goals. Everyone’s journey is different, so find a routine that fits you.. ✨I’d love to know, what’s one habit that’s helped you stay consistent? ⬇️💛#gymgirl #adhd #fitness #gym #creatinghabits by @jorgrees

Girls, if you’re anything like me with gym wear, you can’t settle for anything less than the best ✨ Finding a set that makes you feel confident can genuinely make all the difference on the days you need that little extra push.If Mondays feel like the hardest day to get back on track after the weekend, here are 3 tips that may help: ✨ 1. Don’t aim for perfect, just start. Even a 30-minute workout is better than waiting for the “perfect” Monday.🥗 2. Get your first meal back on plan. Don’t try to make up for the weekend, just focus on your next choice.🎧 3. Wear an outfit that makes you feel confident. It sounds simple, but feeling good in what you’re wearing can give you that extra boost to walk through the gym doors.Your weekend doesn’t define your progress, what you do consistently over the next few days does.Wearing @gymshark interval seamless collection🤩@gymsharkwomen #gymshark #gym #gymwear #gymfit #whatiwear by @jorgrees

The real side of fitness nobody talks about.. 😂It’s not always looking aesthetic, lifting heavy and walking around the gym feeling confident.Sometimes it’s the awkward setups, the weird faces, the moments where you question if anyone is watching you crawl under a Smith machine for hip thrusts.. 🐍🍑But that’s what makes it real.Fitness isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up, having fun, learning, and becoming stronger (even if you look slightly ridiculous doing it 🤣)The gym is for everyone, not just the “perfect” moments. 🤍#gymgirl #fitnessjourney #realfitness #gymhumour #hipthrust by @jorgrees

You know you’re changing when losing people doesn’t hurt as much, being alone starts to feel peaceful, and you no longer feel the need to constantly reach out to everyone. I’m not fully there yet, but I’m trying my best to realise these things.Living with ADHD and RSD (rejective sensitivity dysphoria), I’ve spent most of my life people pleasing. Overthinking every message, blaming myself when someone pulls away, and constantly putting other people’s happiness before my own because I was terrified of rejection. Now, I’m slowly learning that not everyone is meant to stay, and that’s okay. My worth isn’t based on who chooses me or who replies to me. The gym has become my safe place, the place I feel seen. It’s where the noise quietens, where I can switch my mind off, and where I’m learning to choose myself instead of constantly chasing validation from others. To think the gym was once a place I was scared to step my foot into shows me so much growth. It’s a work in progress, but every day I’m trying to protect my piece that little bit more 🤍 If you have ADHD or struggle with RSD too, I hope you know you’re not alone. I see you, I understand you, and you are most definitely worthy. One day at a time 🩵#adhd #rsd #gymgirls #womenempowerment #support by @jorgrees

A full day of eating on a training day while I’m in a calorie deficit. 🍽️ 🍓🫐These are the meals I eat pretty much every training day. They’re simple, easy to prepare, and they work for me.Living with ADHD, I’ve learnt that the simpler I keep things, the more consistent I am. I used to think I needed loads of different recipes and “perfect” meals, but all that did was overwhelm me.The biggest change for me has been having a structure to follow. I used to struggle with binge eating because I’d either skip meals because I forgot or didn’t ’have time’, eat whatever was available, or feel completely out of control around food. Now, I don’t overthink it. I know what I’m eating, I enjoy it, and it helps me stay on track without food taking over my day ✨ Your diet doesn’t need to be complicated to get results. Find meals you genuinely enjoy, keep them simple, and focus on being consistent rather than perfect. Please note: the calories and macros in this post are based on my personal needs, goals, and where I am in my journey. Yours may look completely different, and that’s okay. Everybody’s body, lifestyle, and goals are unique🩵#adhd #gym #whatieatinaday #trainingmotivation by @jorgrees

7 months apart.. Back then I genuinely thought was ‘lean’ and had it all figured out. Then I started my cut properly Looking back, I can see I just didn’t have much muscle underneath. My diet was all over the place, I had no real training plan, no structure.. and most importantly, no consistency.Fast forward to today, I’m coming up to 5 weeks into my current cut, but this time I’m cutting with a lot more muscle. That’s why the process looks completely different. There wasn’t a magic workout or a secret diet.I simply spent months building a foundation before starting this cut.For my body, this is what has worked:• Training 4 days a week.• 20 minutes on the StairMaster after every session.• Staying in a calorie deficit without constantly slashing my food.• Prioritising whole, nutritious foods.• Cutting out alcohol completely because I wanted this result badly enough.• Removing processed foods that would slow my progress and make it harder to stay consistent.I haven’t starved myself or chased quick fixes. I’ve just stuck to a plan that suits me and worked hard. I’m still nowhere near where I want to be and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t fancy a Krispy Kreme🤭, but when I look back it reminds me how far I’ve already come. If you’re doubting yourself today, keep going. The results you’re looking for might just be a few months of consistency away. What’s been the biggest challenge in your fitness journey? 👀#fitnessjourney#caloriedeficit#fatloss#bodyrecomposition by @jorgrees

These two photos were taken less than an hour apart. The first was me sitting outside the gym, feeling emotional and trying to convince myself not to go in.The second was taken after I’d finished my workout.Did my problems disappear? No.But my mindset changed. The gym doesn’t just build my body—it reminds me that I can do hard things, even when my mind tells me I can’t.If you’re having one of those days where everything feels heavy, this is your reminder:You don’t have to feel motivated. You just have to take the first step. The workout you almost skipped might be the one you needed the most. ✨ 🩵 Save this for the days your mind tells you to give up. Those are often the days you need to keep going the most 🩵#gym #gymmotıvatıon #mentalhealth #keepgoing by @jorgrees

The truth is… before I put these photos side by side, I genuinely didn’t think I was getting anywhere.I still have days where I look in the mirror and don’t like what I see. I still compare my journey to other people’s. I still question whether all the hard sessions and sacrifices are making a difference. Then I looked back. And I realised I’d been so focused on how far I still had to go that I’d completely forgotten to appreciate how far I’ve already come. The biggest transformation hasn’t just been physical. It’s been learning not to give up on myself and to stop comparing myself to other people on social media. I still struggle with my mental health. I still have bad days. I still overthink and doubt myself. And I’m still learning to be kinder to myself. The gym has become my safe place. It’s the one place where my mind quietens down. Where lifting weights feels like I’m lifting some of the weight off my shoulders too.I’m nowhere near where I want to be yet. But maybe that’s the point. Growth isn’t about reaching the finish line overnight, it’s about refusing to stop moving forward. But if this post helps even one person realise that progress isn’t always obvious, and that you shouldn’t compare your Chapter 3 to someone else’s Chapter 20, then it’s worth sharing. If you’re reading this and feel like you’re getting nowhere, please don’t quit.Take the photos and celebrate the small wins💪🏼Appreciate yourself, and be kinder to yourself, that’s an order🫵🏼One day you’ll look back and realise you were making progress all along… even on the days you couldn’t see it ✨🩵Be honest, when was the last time you looked back instead of forward?👇🏼#gym #progress #mentalhealth #gymlife #transformation by @jorgrees
