I'm deeply honored to have been entrusted by @dextramusica with this extraordinary double bass made by Hieronimus Amati, crafted in 1680.
I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity to have this wonderful instrument and very excited for this new chapter! ☺️ taken in Oslo, Norway by @josedav_48

🎻 OUT NOW: ...𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 by Sasha Witteveen, Jorian van Nee and Jose David Ospina Gaviria!

Sasha’s debut album for two double basses and piano combines romantic and contemporary music, including works by composers who are virtuosos of the double bass themselves: Dmitri Smirnov, Xavier Foley, Sergei Rachmaninoff, David Anderson, and Giovanni Bottesini.

"𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬, 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦. 𝘓𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘣𝘶𝘮 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴." - Sasha Witteveen
