Rhodes MK I - repairing dead notes ☠️ 🎹

Like the vibes of this video? Expanded the caption to read this? Do you think I should I make a page dedicated to my (electric) piano repair work? Let me know.

Stay funky,
Josef

Surprise! Live album out today.

Folks have been asking “is the audio from the show going to go on streaming services”, well sure enough. Here it is.

I’m endlessly proud of this project, it was such an honour to play my tunes with a group of incredibly talented people for a crowd of amazing friends. Thank you everyone who turned up on the night of, and everyone who sat down to watch the video.

Thanks for getting sleazy with us.

About a month ago we played a show, here’s a taste of what it was like.

Full length vid sometime this month, watch for it!

Thanks everyone who turned up to see this mama jam, you made it something truly special. So much love. It was hard to pick just a couple moments to throw into this reel, super excited to share the full length with y’all!

hey it's Luka 😛 thanks to everybody who showed up to Bearly's on Thursday to see the Josef Hasler Band w/ Soul Circuit. we absolutely went off the rails... even kickflipped the organ on the very first solo somehow.

everything was fully recorded and captured on video, so soon hopefully we'll have some really heavy stuff to show off.

and one more thing - do me a favour and send some love to Josef, this thing was his labour of love, so let him know if you wanna see more of this band.

thank you to Bearly's and folks who supported us, including Soul Circuit. love you all very much. 💗 taken in Bearly's House of Blues and Ribs by @josef.hasler

Holy smokes, save the date - July 9th.

Plug your nose because we’re bringing this stank to the stage. Honoured to be playing with such a funky group of mfs. Pop down to @bearlyshouseofblues for some deep grooves and indulgent fusion music. More details, tickets, etc very soon by @josef.hasler

The record is out! Holy cow, 10 groovy tracks for you to sink your teeth into.

It’s an elaborate list but I want to give huge credit and thanks to

@t_smurffy ripping guitar and singing harmonies on track 6

@_dylanhay effortlessly hopping the trombone for track 7

@dom.craw co-writing a bonkers soul/jazz fusion thing with me (track 8)

@reid.marchand singing backing vocals (and contributing cheeky banter) on track 9

@lottevanrenswoude writing hooks, harmonies, adlibs, and contributing big vibes across these songs, singing with me on tracks 3, 8, 9 and 10

@jacob.ferguson_ lending his ear on the mix and inspiring me to experiment further with cassette tape

@chris_but_faster lending me the drum machines which inspired me to start making this album

@seamusbrush snapping this picture outside the local on some night which surely led to the creation of one or more of these tunes

Lastly, thematically very relevant - @redbull providing the power to stay up all night playing piano and bass guitar

If you made it to the bottom of this caption you can use code [TAURINE] for 25% off cassette tapes (once available, while supplies last) by @josef.hasler
