Spring creek fishing with the best guides in the heart of Patagonia. Thanks, Joaquín. Great day getting to know you and fishing new water. 🎣

Told my nephews since day one they live in Disneyland. Not far from the truth. Uncle Joe time is the best time. by @joseph.k.taylor

Packing for my second life.

Winter is coming to the San Juans, and summer is waking up in Patagonia. Soon I’ll trade these mountains for the Andes, and the people I love here for the rivers, gauchos, and friends waiting down south.

I’m fired up. This season is about taking @paisa.expeditions somewhere new: more anglers on wild water, more people at the asado, more of the Patagonia that got under my skin eight years ago.

I’m also a little torn. Leaving a place this beautiful and the people who make it home doesn’t get easier. And chasing something like this, half a world away, isn’t always easy to explain.

But the best things I’ve found in life came from going anyway.

To my people here: I’ll miss you, and I’ll be back. To my beloved animals: I’ll miss you more.

To Patagonia: let’s go. 🇦🇷🇨🇱

A very special post for a very special girl. 💎

Sadie K, for the past 10 years you’ve been a sparkling and supportive friend to me. I’m not the easiest person to connect with. I’m a man of solitude, but you’ve always been there for me anyway.

I just want you to know how much I love and appreciate you, and if Tex could put his thoughts into words, I know he’d say the same. 🐾

Happy birthday, Sadie. You’re a true gem to this world, and my life wouldn’t be the same without you. ❤️ by @joseph.k.taylor

Anyone in the fishing community knows the difference between a decent guide and a great one. These two? They check every box.

Book your Sundance or Explorer trip with us this year, and we’ll guarantee one of these two in your group.

Paisa Expeditions × Southern Stag 🎣🦌

If you didn’t already know, Southern Stag is Paisa’s sister company. This March and April, we’re bringing them together.

Spend a few days on the river chasing big Patagonia trout, then head into the backcountry for the red stag roar with the Lagos family. For those who want something more elevated than a regular lodge stay, we’ll build your once-in-a-lifetime cast and blast, the one you didn’t know existed.

Limited spots. You coming?

Spots are filling for our Río Minero backcountry hunts. 🦌

We believe this is one of the best hunting experiences in the world. Remote Patagonian backcountry, wild red stag, and days spent on horseback alongside the Lagos family gauchos.

A truly authentic, exhilarating hunt in wild country. Real hunts, the way they should be.

Limited spots remaining for March and April. DM us or hit the link in bio to secure yours.

Some of Patagonia’s finest trout water, one exceptional lodge, and a guide-owner who lives for these rivers.

Tres Ríos Lodge by our good friend Lucas Rodríguez, built for anglers who care about the details. 🎣

Twenty five thousand acres. Fifteen miles of river frontage on the Alumine River, just minutes from some of Patagonia’s most famous fly fishing water. We lean on fly fishing for our experiences, but places like Pilolil open the door to something more. A real working cattle estancia, a five star culinary experience, and an authentic dose of Argentine gaucho culture. It’s quiet, it’s unhurried, and it’s the kind of tranquility you can’t fake. Come feel it for yourself. Link in bio to start planning your Patagonia adventure. by @joseph.k.taylor

Thanks to our boys at @emergerflyfishing , we've got some custom stamped, hand-made streamer wallets available. Two shearling panels hold all your streamers and wet flies, with a simple brass stud and leather closure — no zippers to fuss with on the water — and it fits easily in a side bag or wader pocket. Every Paisa trip you book now includes a wallet and one of our fishing hoodies per person. Thanks, Emerger — looking forward to handing these to clients and keeping a couple in my own bag. by @joseph.k.taylor
