🤍 In Loving Memory of Manhattan “Mannie” 🤍

Our sweet boy. Our gentle baby. Our little gentleman.

Mannie was the kind of soul that felt safe, calm, and full of love. Every single night, without fail, he would curl up in the nook of my inner elbow — my perfect companion, my comfort, my constant.

The day we met you still feels like fate. We were out looking for a place to rent when you walked right up to the front door, vocal, asking for help, clearly hungry. Little did we know, you had been left behind by previous tenants — your two dusty food bowls quietly telling the story.

As we sat parked in the driveway, we rolled the window down to snap a photo to post on Nextdoor, just in case you belonged to someone. Mid-photo… you jumped straight into our car. Just like that, you chose us. And we’ve been yours ever since.

For the past five years, we were so lucky to love you, to spoil you, to care for you, and to do the very best we could by you. We hope you’re now at peace, no longer in pain, and reunited with your sister Brooklyn.

I love you forever and always, my sweet boy. You took a piece of me with you when you left. Until we meet again — Rest in Paw-radise, my sweet Mannie. - your Papis Jaime + Joseph🐾🤍 taken in Houston, Texas by @josephberck
