This piece feels like a big step forward for me this year. I’m so glad I found out @tlestoryteller was doing one for the same collector after I’d already finished. You should see what Tommy did. Stunning work. Thanks so much to @insaneleaders_gallery for the gig. You’re awesome buddy.

This Stingray commission from @newellultimatum will live in my mind for a while. I felt sort of over my skis for 2/3 of the time I was working on this but I’m so happy with where it landed. At Heroes Con, some of my favorite artists were going out of their way to tell me they’d seen it and liked it. It’s a reminder to trust your weird instincts and try to make new discoveries. Thanks so much to Newell as well for trusting me with this gig. taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @josephkarg

This piece was created for the Heroes Con Auction this year and it has become my gold standard until I find a way to beat it. To my SHOCK, it sold to someone for $3,000. This felt like a massive moment for me. One of my art idols Skottie Young and I exchanged words about the piece and it made my month.

I only hope I can continue to deliver at this level moving forward.

Inktober 2026 - 17/31 - Shenron

As you may have already guessed, this was a piece I did in September while I was prepping this challenge. That’s why it’s so developed. Eventually all of these pieces will reach this level, but for now, it is the great and powerful Shenron alone.

Inktober 2026 - 16/31 - Captain Ginyu

HALF WAY THROUGH!!! Man, Inktober is such a massive challenge. Especially with commission work, a teaching job and two children BUT I LOVE IT!!

Inktober 2026 - 15/31 - Reacoom

Reacoom is one of my all time favorite DBZ characters. He’s such a goofy villain in the midst of many silly characters on the Ginyu Force. Had to do a super low angle to make him look dumb and menacing all at once.

Also wanted to go EXTRA CLEAN with these lines after chatting with the great @michael.sanlaville

Inktober 2026 - 13/31 - Gurd

Okay, I’m back from NYCC and by some miracle, I’m not sick. Had a little extra time after finishing the pencils this morning, so I did a value study on this guy.

Inktober 2026 - 12/31 - Zarbon

Zarbon is a fantastic character as well. One of the first henchmen of Freiza that we meet in the series. He’s a kind of Dr. Jekyl character. A beautiful androgenous boy with a monstrous transformation. I chose the beauty but Noah Schoper does both. Great idea for his piece.

Inktober 2026 - 11/31 - Freiza Form 1

Now we’re getting back to the strong boys. Freiza is about as bad as they get. He has a bunch of transformations and this is his weakest first form. Love the hover craft. Love the gay coding. Fantastic character.

Inktober 2026 - 10/31 - Tien

Poor Tien. So strong in the early series. So so so weak in the later stories. Here’s to you my weak ass prince.
