Macklemore was kicked off Ed Sheeran's tour for speaking out about the genocide against the Palestinian people. He spoke of the apartheid system of oppression being instituted onto the Palestinians. Robert Kraft colluded with other owners in the NFL stating that Ed $heeran would not be allowed to perform at other NFL stadiums unless he kicked Macklemore off the tour. Kraft admitted to doing so. Mind you, Kanye West has a song called He*l H*tler and is touring at NFL stadiums later this year.

Now let's go back to another man who had a spine to speak up about what was right. Colin Kaepernick kneeled to speak up about the police brutality that many black and brown people are subjugated to daily. He was not some scrub. He led his team to the Super Bowl and 2 years later, he was out of the league and no team wanted to even give him a workout? Kraft just admitted that the NFL owners colluded to blackball him for speaking out.

These two men spoke up for two groups of people whose voices are either often drowned out or non existent. I have already been iffy with the NFL since covid as players were getting tested weekly, but I couldn't find tests while working elbow deep in covid and zipping up body bags. This was the last straw for me. I'm done with the NFL.

It felt good to get to the gym yesterday after a few weeks of not going. I've been doing a walk everyday, but it felt good to move some weights. I found a 3 day full body routine that I'll be trying. I'm dealing with some tennis elbow in my left arm so that limits some things. I don't even play tennis, wtf lol. Between a knee acting up and an elbow and my usual back problems, I took some time off, but I had been itching to get back in. Getting older has its pros and cons for sure!

42. Another year in the books. 41 was a whirlwind . I arrived in Minnesota on my birthday last year. There were a lot of tensions within my family because I'm the first in generations to move more than a few hours away. My first year here had its ups and downs. Politically, it's been interesting with the Cheeto specifically targeting my new home, but I've never been more proud to call somewhere home. With the ice invasion, things were very scary for a few months. I walked around with my passport even though I was born here. I know that didn't matter and I was always at least a little weary of where I went. For the first month, I didn't leave my house except to go to work. The people of this state stood up to the tyrannical government. It turns out Minnesotans are what Texans think they are. I've had a few jobs here and just started at a new gig in July. It's alright so far. With the stress of moving and then ice, I gained about 20 lbs over the course of 8 months. I managed to lose and gain the same 5-10 lbs over and over. I am one month in being on tirzepitide and it's been amazing so far. I got to go visit my wife's aunt and uncle in Alaska. It was spectacular. I highly recommend it if you're into hiking and mountains and breathtaking scenery. I feel like we're finally getting into a rhythm. Here's hoping for a solid 42! by @joseupnorth

Week 2 injection today. Down 2.2 lbs. The food noise reduction has been insane. I'm able to focus on other things rather than the next time I'll get to snack or eat. This feels like I'm maybe 6-9 months post VSG. by @joseupnorth

If you don't know the feeling of young adults to old, hardened veterans begging you crying to not let them die as they are minutes from being intubated, I don't give a fuck what you think of Dr. Fauci. If you didn't have to strip down to your underwear on your front porch because you were so scared of bringing Covid home with you and infecting your family, I don't give a fuck what you think of Dr. Fauci. If you haven't broken down crying in your car after another worst shift of your life, I don't give a fuck what you think of Dr. Fauci. If you don't know the feeling of yet another patient dying as you code them for 90 minutes in full PPE and coming out looking like you jumped in a pool, I don't give a fuck what you think of Dr. Fauci. by @joseupnorth

The food noise became too much. I started on a glp-1 on Saturday. I didn't feel too much Saturday or Sunday, but today, I could tell a big difference. I didn't even snack today when I was finding myself needing multiple snacks a day.

Not gonna lie, I felt bad that my sleeve wasn't enough, but then I just thought of having two tools in my belt to help combat my obesity. I moped Friday night. Woke up excited Saturday to start this next leg of the journey. by @joseupnorth
