Huge 5-minute PB 💥🙌

Ran a strong race through to around 30km 💪 but didn’t quite have it in the legs to hold pace to the end. From there, it became a fight for survival just to get across the line 🥵

Grateful to be able to push my body to its limits and keep showing up for these races 🙏🔥

The sub-2:50 chase continues ⏱️👊

Appreciate all the support — it means a lot 💛🙌

Kosci 100km 🔥

2024 closed out with one of the biggest challenges yet.

107km around Kosciuszko national park in one of the toughest, yet most rewarding days of my life.

Some highlights from the day were;
- The race getting paused to due a storm at around 40km in and everyone being held at the next checkpoint for over an hour.
- Running in torrential rain for the entire second half of the race and getting absolutely drenched head to toe.
- Climbing dead horse gully right at the end and getting smashed by rain and wind to the point where I thought I might actually freeze 🥶
- The feeling of crossing the finish line after over 17 hours and Faye running straight up to me.

I’ve learnt an awful lot about my self this past few months leading up to this race. I genuinely love setting my self these goals that scare me to the point where I don’t actually know if I’ll achieve them. Things definitely won’t be slowing down anytime soon and I’ll be looking to have another year of seeing how far I can push my self to the limits.

I want to say a big thank you to my amazing wife @fayeward__ . Without you I wouldn’t be able to do any of this crazy shit and I appreciate everything you do for me ❤️

Massive thanks to @ashtonbeno + @dan_runs_things two of the nicest guys you can meet and nothing but banter from the start.
Also @dillonrinn + @bennycoubs_ultrarunner really isn’t hard to feel motivated to push on to the finish when you’re shaking hands with 2 of the best ultra runners in the country!

Run Fest Central Coast 🏃‍♂️

1:20:00 | New PB | 4th overall

One second off the sub 1:20 goal, but absolutely stoked with today. Highest I’ve ever placed in a race too.

The sub 1:20 chase continues 👊

Sydney gets better every year 😍

Marathon #7 🏃‍♂️

The plan was to try and sit around 4:45/km with no real expectations, especially after just getting back from the UK.

Ended up running a bit too fast early on, but felt good so just rode it out and held the pace for the whole race.

Finished in 3:12:22 💪

Today was always about using Sydney as a training run for Auckland.

9 weeks to go. Time to work 🔥
