14 years married today! As we were reflecting on the last 14 years we came up with some practical marriage advice:

• Marry your best friend
• Keep growing together
• Stay curious about what your spouse is learning (we call this bird watching 🥹)
• Go on regular dates no matter what else is happening in life
• Wake up wondering how you can make your spouse’s day better
• invest in and care for your chosen community together

Cheers to 14 years, babe!!!

Greece was Josh’s favorite place he got to see as a child. It was a dream to come back together with so many of our oldest and dearest friends to see @jordanblock and @marina_reneee throw just the most beautiful, thoughtful, and memorable wedding. Refreshed, overjoyed, and already planning our return ❤️ taken in Athens, Greece by @joshpuckett

Last year a friend asked if they could commission a credenza for their record collection and player. It took just a *bit* longer than anticipated, but I finally finished it this past weekend. I learned so much in making this piece, and at times doubted if I’d finish, but overall I’m really happy with how it turned out.

European white oak throughout, my favorite detail is the sliding slat door covering a shelf bay for electronics or miscellaneous items.

I always look forward to projects over winter break. This year, I replaced our old water heater with an electric tankless unit... which of course was really an excuse to renovate our mudroom and build custom cabinets! My favorite feature is the bench. It’s made from the leftover live edge Redwood slab from our dining room table I made earlier this year.

Big shoutout to @kayleighpuckett for putting up with all the noise, and lack of hot water for a couple days 😂

It’s been a hard year, but I’m so thankful for this community and our annual tradition to escape to the mountains for meals, adventures, and time together. As @rissyriss7 said, “Things change, but we always come back to this table”, and I think that’s just perfect ❤️ taken in Cle Elum, Washington by @joshpuckett

Slowly but surely exploring more of the Southwest, and loving every mile. There is so much beauty in these lands. Grateful to be able to adventure on them with people I love.

I’ve long wanted to get more into woodworking, and now that we have a home have finally found enough reasons to start in earnest.
•
I had some leftover poplar from a previous project that I wanted to re-use, so I designed and built this night stand for our guest bedroom. The legs were a bit tricky and aren’t perfect, but I learned a lot for next time. Eventually, I’d like to make a matching piece for the other side of the bed once I replace the door with a sliding version to make more space. •

Seven years with you, each as magical as the last ❤️ I am so thankful for you and everything you’ve taught me. This year has brought a lot of changes, but I’ve not an itch in sight. Here’s to the next seventy years and then some! taken in BIRD DOG by @joshpuckett
