Freedom is no fear.

Proud to stand in Downtown LA with union members and allies in solidarity with Minneapolis and communities nationwide.

Any excuse to wear western wear, I’m in. 🤠✨

Great night line dancing with the LA LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce and Bootleg Dance and even better connecting with LGBTQ+ and women led business owners from across LA.

As a small business owner, I know strong regional networks mean more collaboration, more opportunity, and a stronger local economy. 🌈💼

Great afternoon co-hosting a fundraiser for Barri Worth Girvan for LA City Council District 3!

This is an important race for the future of Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. With so many challenges facing our city, from housing affordability and economic development to public safety and the delivery of basic city services, the decisions made at City Hall over the next several years will have a real impact on residents, workers, and businesses alike.

It was wonderful seeing so many friends and familiar faces come together today. Thank you to everyone who joined us! taken in Los Angeles, California by @joshuagbaum

We shouldn’t have to leave LA to afford a future.

We’re building Democrats for an Affordable LA into a countywide force for more housing, good jobs, a stronger economy, better transportation, and safe neighborhoods.

We’re already chartered by the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, have a full 13-member executive board, and have received coverage in Politico. Next, we’ll turn that momentum into action by endorsing policies and candidates who share our vision and organizing to help them succeed.

Become a founding donor. Your contribution will help fund outreach, events, and the infrastructure we need to grow.

Give $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can. Every contribution helps us get started.

What’s actually happening with the Los Angeles economy?

Hilgard Economics has released the inaugural Q2 2026 edition of Regional Pulse, our quarterly assessment of economic conditions across Los Angeles County.

The latest data point to an economy that remains resilient, but with modest growth concentrated in a relatively small number of industries and continued challenges across several key sectors. The report examines employment, housing, commercial real estate, entertainment, and transportation across the region.

Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of Democrats for an Affordable LA.

Los Angeles County should be a place where working families can afford to live, small businesses can thrive, and the next generation can build a future.

But for too many residents across our county, the rising cost of housing and everyday life is putting that future out of reach.

Democrats for an Affordable LA is bringing together Democrats who believe affordability and economic growth must go hand in hand. We support policies that expand housing opportunities, strengthen our economy, support small businesses, create good-paying jobs, and make Los Angeles County more affordable for everyone.

As a Democratic club, we will advocate for policies and endorse candidates who share our commitment to affordability, economic opportunity, housing, and broad-based economic growth.

We are currently organizing for chartering with the Los Angeles County Democratic Party and look forward to building a broad coalition committed to a more affordable, prosperous, and opportunity-rich future for every corner of Los Angeles County.

Interested in helping build the club? Check out the links in our bio to sign up as a member or apply to serve on our founding board.

Follow along and join us as we get to work.

A free press doesn’t survive on applause alone.

As journalists face intimidation and the First Amendment is tested, supporting independent and queer media matters.

Proud to support local LGBTQ+ journalism, including the @losangelesblade, and committed to defending a free, fearless press. by @joshuagbaum

Saturday night I was proud to attend the @westsideyd's Westie Awards celebrating this year’s honorees. Los Angeles is stronger because WYD unapologetically champions bold and effective policies and the leaders ready to deliver them.

Nearly seven years ago I took the initiative to start the club and it’s inspiring to see how @alecgators and today’s leadership have taken it to new heights. taken in Dusty Vinyl by @joshuagbaum

Last night on @nbcla, I broke down why LA’s housing construction is struggling — from tariffs and immigration raids to high interest rates and political attacks on the Federal Reserve.

The data tells a clear story: uncertainty is slowing the homes we need. Watch the full segment here [https://youtu.be/fojLQLugjzw?si=xM2IChoYmmSF1HZ4].
