Celebrating Autumn hues with a retro sensibility, GATHERED & BOUND speaks to contained movement - a meeting of vintage fabrics, sculptured copper, pops of florals and painted leaves - all purposefully styled and arranged within striking, ceramic hand-formed vessels…

Intended as an immersive sanctuary atop a sand dune, designing and creating my coastal garden has been a beautiful experience. Everyday I get to see something new - a continually evolving botanical kaleidoscope of growth and transformation. Thanks to Ian Potts Landscaping for helping bring my vision to life 🌱 : architecture + pool design @ashleyhallidayarchitects taken in Semaphore by @joslin.koolen

In response to the incredible Ephemeral Spaces workshop I recently took part in @boisbuchet I created WILLY-WILLY : a swirling phenomenon dancing briefly upon the landscape : an ode to all things impermanent and fleeting.

It was such a creative and emotionally charged week where I met 21 of the most exceptional people from 16 different countries, under the inspired tutelage of @wagnerjk @fridakim_london : gently guiding us beyond our personal limitations and allowing us the agency and space to fully explore, evolve and express ourselves #foreverchanged #neverthesame

With 🙏 to @felix_wpj @deantoepfer from the technical team for helping bring this piece to life… 🇧🇷 🇰🇷 🇹🇭 🇹🇼 🇺🇸 🇪🇸 🇲🇽 🇫🇷 🇦🇺 🇬🇧 🇬🇷 🇵🇱 🇺🇦 🇦🇪 🇱🇧 🇵🇹 🇳🇱 taken in Domaine de Boisbuchet by @joslin.koolen

Bringing together botanicals and ceramics, composition and play - texture, colour inflections and form take centre stage within their overexposed setting : many thanks to @em___frank for loaning me their incredible ceramic creations 🌱 by @joslin.koolen

Once and awhile I’m asked to design an object outside of my usual scope of work, and this bathroom vanity with inbuilt towel rail was certainly no exception. Intended to look and feel like a furniture piece alongside the contemporary concrete basin and top, the frame was beautifully fabricated by my dad : Frans Koolen : and powdercoated @morestel_powder_coaters ::: 🌱 by A.nouk by @joslin.koolen
