I’ve read so many brilliant reviews of Chocolat by Joanne Harris, I was expecting more than it delivered. I thought it was okay but I didn’t love it. I actually found it quite slow going and was rather relieved when I got to the end. You can’t win them all 🤷‍♀️

The farmer’s spreading muck, I knew before I saw him 💩 I grew up living by farmland so it’s something I’ve been used to, it isn’t very often and it doesn’t last long, but Mick takes real exception to the smell 😂 I’ve told him, he was keen to move here, got to take the rough with the smooth 🤷‍♀️😁

The very first Christmas cake I’ve ever made. It’s not perfect but I hope it’ll be tasty. I’m not a lover of icing so I’ve gone with almonds instead, just like the Christmas cakes my grandma used to make. Let the feeding process begin 🥃

I’ve been shopping for Christmas cake ingredients today, this will be the first one I’ve ever made as it’s only these past few years that I realised I like it. I think quite a few people have been shopping for dried fruit as I had to go to three different supermarkets before I found one with currants, raisins and sultanas and then it didn’t have almonds so I had to go back to one of the others for those. I’ve got everything I need though now so I can get started 😁

I saw this design pad, pack of stickers and washi tape in @theworksstores earlier this year and knew they would be perfect for my travel journal. The Amalfi Coast and Sorrento are known for lemons 🍋 I just need to decide which photos from the hundreds I’ve taken need to be printed out 📸
