POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Every summer I reread one of my childhood books. They have been sitting on my shelves for decades and their spines are like old friends. This year I was undecided about which one to choose until @jothroughthekeyhole posted about reading The Railway Children. This is my copy, last read almost fifty years ago. I love the film and have seen it many times and this Puffin edition, published in 1974 when you could buy a new paperback book for 30p, shows a still from the end of the film, which stays very close to the book. As an eldest daughter, often responsible for looking after my younger sisters, I have always felt that I am Bobbie.

It’s National Walking Month and we think we might just have the best green spaces for you to discover 👀

We manage around 4,000 hectares of green space across Leeds, making the city one of the greenest places to live in Europe.

Leeds has several major parks, 65 community parks, and a number of Local Nature Reserves for you to explore this month and beyond.

Triangular shawl using 10-stitch pattern. There are also circular and square versions (available on Ravelry) Great for using all the scraps and leftover yarn! This one is all sock yarn, I also did a circular one with dk weight. Nice because you can make them as big or little as you like. #yarnscraps #shawl
