Welcome to Cute Girl Fall™ 😂💋🍂⁣ ⁣ (If you haven't yet seen my last post, it's true... sad girl summer has LEFT THE BUILDING!)⁣ ⁣ POV: You lose voice for two weeks and the SECOND it starts coming back you're like…⁣ ⁣ 𝙆𝘼𝙍𝘼𝙊𝙆𝙀?!?!?! 👁️👄👁️🎤⁣ ⁣ (Hey... to be fair, I was invited out! I couldn't say no to a good birthday karaoke party! Hehe. Alrighty friends... now that the evocative Song 33 has finally been released out into the world (and THANK you for commenting, sharing, and witnessing miracles with me 🥹🌱 I'm so glad you loved the forest magic too!)⁣ ⁣ Let’s back up a sec and recap:⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗨𝗡𝗛𝗜𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 ✨⁣ ⁣ Which yes... seems to have happened years ago at this point. 😂⁣ ⁣ Between that week of songs and actually posting this highlight reel, I:⁣ ⁣ ✨ injured my shoulder⁣ ✨ attended a 4-night silent retreat⁣ ✨ got my kiddos started with their new school year⁣ ✨ nursed two sick babies back to health⁣ ✨ lost my voice for a while⁣ ✨ majorly advocated for my son’s disability accommodations in a 504 meeting⁣ ✨ AND accidentally developed a new full-time job:⁣ ⁣ Nashville Zillow. ☠️🏡⁣ ⁣ What started as “𝙢𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙚 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙖𝙩 𝙖 𝙛𝙚𝙬 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙥 𝙨𝙤𝙤𝙣?” turned into a full-blown three-week AuDHD hyperfixation involving 33 property tours (or more, honestly 😅), detailed spreadsheets, hardcore negotiations, multiple existential crises, too many cul-de-sacs to count, and me earning an honorary degree in Nashville Rental Market Analysis.⁣ ⁣ Seriously. I should charge for this shit. Song 33/333 is finally here. 😭🎶✨⁣ ⁣ I’ve been waiting for this one (and maybe you have too).⁣ ⁣ Out of all 333 songs in #TheGreatUnhiding, I knew I wanted Song 33 to feel special.⁣ ⁣ Significant. Magical AF.⁣ ⁣ I had even chosen “Amazing Grace” for the occasion.⁣ ⁣ And well…⁣ ⁣ 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 😂😭🪽✨⁣ ⁣ JUST. Wanna hear something hilariously RUDE? 😂⁣ ⁣ After having my @hotboxnashville membership frozen for almost two months while I healed my shoulder injury, it was FINALLY set to unfreeze September 30th.⁣ ⁣ On September 22nd, they announced they were closing.⁣ ⁣ Their last day of classes? September 26th.⁣ ⁣ FOUR FREAKING DAYS before my membership unfroze. 😭🤣⁣ ⁣ 𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞, 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗚𝗨𝗬𝗦.⁣ ⁣ So as of yesterday…⁣ ⁣ My membership has officially unfrozen! 🥳⁣ …andddd my gym has officially ceased to exist.⁣ ⁣ AMAZING TIMING, EVERYONE.⁣ RUDE AF. 🤣💀⁣ ⁣ (𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺… 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴’ 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦?! 𝘛𝘖𝘖 𝘍𝘈𝘚𝘛, 𝘋𝘜𝘋𝘌. 𝘞𝘢𝘺𝘺𝘺𝘺𝘺 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵. 😭)⁣ ⁣ Funnily enough (yep, that’s a Jourdan-ism 😂) just a few weeks ago — before I knew ANY of this was happening — I joined HotWORX (@hotworxnashvillewest) as a founding member.⁣ ⁣ They’re set to open next week.⁣ ⁣ 𝙎𝙤 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙚’𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙃𝙊𝙏 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧. 🤷🏼‍♀️😅🔥⁣ ⁣ Coincidence? Divine timing?⁣ ⁣ A new chapter quietly introducing itself before you even know the old one is about to end?⁣ ⁣ If I’m being totally honest with you… I DID feel a shift. I just didn’t know what it was yet. ✨⁣ ⁣ And don’t get me wrong... I’m still sad. The next adventure most definitely doesn’t replace this one.⁣ ⁣ That’s the thing about grief...⁣ ⁣ We don’t grieve things that meant nothing to us.⁣ ⁣ 𝗪𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁.⁣ ⁣ 😭😭😭⁣ ⁣ The people.⁣ The seasons.⁣ The places that held us while we transformed.⁣ ⁣ Some spots become part of the architecture of your life.⁣ ⁣ Hotbox was one of mine. 💪🏼✨⁣ ⁣ But as this chapter closes, I’m realizing that the dedication itself…⁣ ⁣ Lives in ME.⁣ ⁣ Hotbox was the container.⁣ ⁣ 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆. ❤️‍🔥⁣ ⁣ MY body.⁣ MY strength. ⁣ MY consistency.⁣ MY follow-through.⁣ MY willingness to keep showing up.⁣ ⁣ Hotbox gave me a place to practice that dedication 💪🏼 to strengthen it, challenge it, and come back to it again and again.⁣ ⁣ And now I get to take it with me. 🥹⁣ ⁣ (𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴) 👇🏼✨ by @jourdanrystrom

MY HOTBOX FAREWELL TOUR ❤️‍🔥🥊⁣ ⁣ After grieving the news that my favorite gym in the world was closing, I decided there was really only one appropriate way to send her off:⁣ ⁣ 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦. 𝗜𝗡 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗔𝗬. 🤣⁣ ⁣ (Yep… I go hard or go home, quite literally!)⁣ ⁣ What better way to send Hotbox off with LOVE than hitting up all my favorite trainers’ classes?!⁣ ⁣ Heck, I’ve been gone for almost two months due to my shoulder injury… so we’d BETTER get it in!⁣ ⁣ 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘕𝘖 𝘞𝘈𝘠 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘶𝘯𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘪𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴... 💪🏼⁣ ⁣ So get it in WE DID.⁣ ⁣ I was there from 11:30am-7:30pm, with one brief intermission to pick up my children from school like the responsible mother I am. 😂🏫⁣ ⁣ Then RIGHT BACK TO HOTBOX I WENT.⁣ ⁣ Because today, I wanted to 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟 𝗜𝗧 𝗔𝗟𝗟 🩵⁣ ⁣ I wanted to absorb it.⁣ Sweat it.⁣ Punch it.⁣ Pump it.⁣ DANCE IT. 💃🏼⁣ ⁣ (And ohhhh, did I dance. Someone even mentioned she was jealous of how “free” I am… not sure if that’s a compliment or a diss LOL… either way, I’ll take it 😂)⁣ ⁣ I wanted to experience it ALL one more time…⁣ ⁣ My favorite trainers.⁣ My favorite kickboxing bag, with the sun shining down on me. ☀️🥊⁣ My 185lb hip thrusts. 🍑🤣⁣ ⁣ Bangers blasting.⁣ Sweat dripping.⁣ Endorphins high.⁣ ⁣ I wanted the hugs. The tears. The poses. The ridiculous laughter. The sweaty selfies with the humans I’ve spent HUNDREDS of classes beside over the years.⁣ ⁣ I wanted to be completely 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧 in my body and soak up what it felt like to be inside this place that has held so many versions of me.⁣ ⁣ 😭😭😭⁣ ⁣ It felt SO good to be back, even if just for one day. Between the music, the movement, the dancing, the punching, the hugging, and the crying…⁣ ⁣ 𝙄 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜.⁣ ⁣ Which was either ✨ 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 ✨ or the fact that I had only consumed one protein shake while taking three workout classes.⁣ ⁣ Jury’s still out. 🤣⁣ ⁣ (𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯) 👇🏼 taken in HOTBOX Fitness Nashville by @jourdanrystrom

I’m going silent again. 🤫🦋⁣ ⁣ Today through Monday, I’ll be heading into the beautiful mountains of Tazewell, Tennessee — about an hour north of Knoxville — for my fourth silent retreat.⁣ ⁣ No talking.⁣ No internet.⁣ No consuming.⁣ ⁣ Just me, God, nature, my journal… and whatever wants to come through. 🕊️🌱⁣ ⁣ And if history has taught me anything…⁣ ⁣ 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵. 😂⁣ ⁣ My first silent retreat was WILD.⁣ ⁣ After years of feeling disconnected from parts of my creativity, 𝙥𝙤𝙚𝙢𝙨, 𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝙡𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙚𝙨 started POURING out of me again. ✍🏼⁣ ⁣ My second retreat?⁣ ⁣ 𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛. 😭📖⁣ ⁣ Chapter by chapter. Morning, afternoon, night… I quite literally could not write fast enough (plus one sad girl song, lol)⁣ ⁣ And my third retreat, this past March?⁣ ⁣ I got sick and received ONE very clear divine direction:⁣ ⁣ 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟯𝟯𝟯 𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠 𝗗𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗬. 🎤🎶⁣ ⁣ That little download became 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙐𝙣𝙝𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 — this giant, beautiful, terrifying, peculiar, soul-searching creative experiment I’ve been living out loud ever since.⁣ ⁣ And in a little cosmic wink that I JUST realized while putting all these slides together…⁣ ⁣ You take Route 𝟯𝟯 to get there (see pics).⁣ ⁣ And while I’m there this time around, I’ll be recording Song 𝟯𝟯 of 𝟯𝟯𝟯 — at the very place where The Great Unhiding was born. 🤯🎤💫⁣ ⁣ Coincidence?!⁣ ⁣ I THINK NOT. 😂⁣ ⁣ This place is magical. 💫✨⁣ ⁣ And now…⁣ I’m going back.⁣ ⁣ Retreat 4. 🥹⁣ ⁣ Four — the number of stability, foundation, security, and grounding.⁣ ⁣ Which feels especially fitting because this time, instead of my usual bougie little mountain-view Tiny House (😂) I’m venturing out to try something new — an earth-sheltered cabin called Chickadee overlooking the river.⁣ ⁣ (Apparently my soul — or my human?! — made a phone in and requested that I get quite literally 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 this time around.) 🌱😂⁣ ⁣ And a river view?⁣ ⁣ Well, my name is Jourdan, after all.⁣ ⁣ “𝙏𝙤 𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣” 🌊⁣ ⁣ (𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴) 👇🏼💫 taken in Well Being Retreat Center by @jourdanrystrom
