🪩JUST ANNOUNCED 🪩 Meet Emily Chertow from @journalingclasses + friends at the @brooklynbowl for the Talent Show [for adults]!! It’s our 7th time hosting this epic night.

Mark your calendars: Wednesday, November 18th 2026!

No, it’s not your typical Talent Show. This is a space where you can show up and be free / silly with us 🌀 Some people will be showcasing their musical talents, maybe dancing/comedy/magic/etc. Your host & emcee, @echertow, will be setting the vibe high with an evening of community and joy.

All are welcome! Simply come as you are and see all the amazing talent on stage while being immersed in an audience that is there for a good time! All we ask is that you stay curious, stay open and I promise it might just be your favorite night ever. ❤️ We have some special surprises planned for you.

Thank you for having me this week Fordham University. Incredible to bring my Journaling Classes curriculum to the women at Fordham.

Stepping onto a college campus to facilitate felt intense this week. Holding a room full of women studying and preparing for professions in business is not a duty I take lightly. I’m grateful to create a container for them to slow down and take care of themselves during a semester and season that is full throttle.

*And I’m especially grateful to create spaces where our anger, rage, and frustration are safe to express, explore, and talk about*

There is so much power in giving ourselves permission to name what we’re feeling; especially in spaces where we’re so often taught to keep moving, performing, and pushing through.

At our last Talent Show [for Adults], we planted a friend of our community, @hansel.perez , in the crowd with a very special assignment: capture the night.

Throughout the show, he quietly drew live stills of the performances and talents happening on stage in-real-time. Then, at the end of the night, we brought him up for his own “talent”…revealing everything he had created throughout the show.
We are absolutely obsessed with the way he captured the energy, the people, the performances, and all the little moments that made the night what it was. Such a special way to see the Talent Show through someone else’s eyes. 🥹

We love finding unexpected ways for art, play, and community to collide. Thank you, Hansel, for giving us these little time capsules of the night. ❤️ by @journalingclasses

No matter how big our workshops expand and grow, personal touch will always be an important part of my experiences. From the moment you walk in to the second you leave, I always want you to feel at home and at ease.

For me, it’s really meditative to add those personal touches and prep for workshops. It lets me be even more present upon arrival. Little stuff matters; even doodles and taking time to hand write your name on your welcome note I believe elevates the experience.

⚾️ always a great time putting pen 2 paper with my friends at the @phillies

I don’t think the baseball field has seen two cuter girls in ballet flats hit that dugout dirt.

Playoff season is amongst us, and we’re throwing it back to peak season when we had a blast hosting Journaling Classes for the Phillies WAGs aka wives and girlfriends — during their first game against the LA Dodgers of the season.

We set up in the locker room, aka the cozy, beautiful suite for family members and hosted an intimate journaling workshop + bracelet making during the game.

Of course, we had the prompts out AND the game up on the screens. 💌⚾️📓
