POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
We are the species that writes lullabies and builds bombs.

We cross oceans for love…
And cross them again for war.

We’ve thrown our bodies into riot lines, stood unarmed before tanks and run into burning buildings for strangers.

We’ve also scrolled past war with dinner on our laps and called it ‘news’.

We hold each other through the unthinkable and still fund the machines that make it happen again.

We are a paradox indeed…
But not beyond redemption.

I know we live in a world designed to numb us and i see how it praises productivity while burying empathy. Silence is rewarded, individualism dresses as spirituality and dissociation is turned into a trend.

But I also know something tender in us always survives.

I see it in the way a child still reaches for connection before learning to fear it and an elder still remembers the smell of rain before concrete covered the soil. I see it in the resilience of entire populations who have lost everything, but still braid their children’s hair and carry water through rubble. I feel it in the rage and grief of so many, forced to watch livestream slaughter at the hands of global representatives, who now only represent corruption and moral decay.

And that tenderness is what I hold onto. I refuse to go numb. I won’t become another ghost in the machine, because i still trust in our capacity to return.

And I believe we return not just through protest or poetry, but through the small everyday choices that refuse to betray the soul. The food we buy, the products we consume, the stories we share, the way we treat those with nothing to offer us, the courage to speak when silence feels safer and the decision to continue creating and healing when despair would be easier.

Every act of presence in a numb world is an act of revolution.

And perhaps the highest awareness isn’t rising above the mess of the world, but returning to it with a healthy heart that continues to beat with the collective. A feeling heart and a raging, grieving, hoping heart.

Because beneath all apparent division, we are still made of one breath. What touches one of us, touches us all.

It’s not too late to be human again. by @journalofthesoul

Sophia Kai at The Listening Room Berlin

An album listening of Karavi, spoken word and unreleased songs, live.

Multilingual writer and musician Sophia Kai carries Greek, French, Spanish and English into acoustic world folk: atmospheric, with Balkan and Mediterranean undertones. Her work restores listening as a deliberate, shared experience between artist and audience. For one evening she brings it into the room: unreleased songs (live) and her poetry in spoken word.

Album Alchemists is our own format, where deep listening meets storytelling and a live extension of the work. An intimate space close to the artist, with fellow music lovers, in a meditative atmosphere and hi-res sound.

📅 October 17th
📍 Studio 5:55, Berlin Mitte (private location, limited capacity)
🎟 RSVP: registration link in bio

Dont tell me what you believe, show me what you protect.

26.07.26
(notes from the ongoing experiment of being alive)

we spend so much time curating our beliefs and so little time examining how we embody them. But life has shown me again and again that the whole point is in the choices we make consistently and in whether our values and actions have ever really met.

What does courage, integrity or humility actually look like in practice and when no one is watching? the willingness to be challenged and to challenge our own beliefs?

what does it look like to give our hearts to love without losing ourselves in it or to stand beside the people we love even when it costs us our own comfort?

to respect those who have nothing to offer back to us or to protect those who are vulnerable?

…and are these things we have to learn or were we born knowing already and slowly talked out of them?

In the grand scheme of our collective human life, the experiment of individualism is five minutes old. we’ve lived in community for all of our existence.
We know how to connect, collaborate, co create and defend each other.

We know how to live in partnership instead of domination.

We know how important it is to have the right people around us not just because they make life more enjoyable, but because they make it survivable. True friends make the strange terrifying beautiful chaos of existence feel like home to one another, even when everyone’s internally navigating it alone.

So yeah I’ve learnt to tend to friendships like they’re medicine for the tired travelling soul and not gossip chambers. And foster solidarity like it’s a normal & natural thing, because it is. And embody integrity fiercely and to my best understanding, because i know it’s the most valuable asset. And keep strong boundaries to preserve the quality of what I give and my capacity to show up fully.

Im still learning, but i try to be in service to the best of myself, and stay open to correction when I’m not, because what else is the point??

So here’s my reminder to myself and anyone else, that the way we live, not what we believe/intend/say/‘post’, is the only legacy that matters. by @journalofthesoul

solitude is a social responsibility. Solitude ≠ loneliness

they can look the same from the outside but they move in totally opposite ways.

Loneliness chases someone/something to fill the silences its uncomfortable with while solitude isn’t afraid of its own company.

a society made of people who can’t be alone with themselves is easy to divide, easy to distract and super easy to mislead. When we don’t know who we are we become what we’re told to be.

Unfelt pain becomes blame, unfelt grief becomes anger. unmet emptiness becomes consumption and desperation to ‘belong’ to anything that can numb it.

Then there’s solitude… going inward.
Omg we might even sit with ourselves and hear the subtleties that we usually talk over. And maybe that’s where we start to feel-think for real and where love gets deeper and where we can’t hide from our own hypocrisy anymore.

That’s why I feel solitude is a social responsibility. Knowing ourself is the root of a healthy community.

If we can hold ourselves we can hold each other and if we’re cool with silence our words can embody more substance (not just pseudo-spiritual intellectual blabla)

and when we’ve faced our own shadows we can finally stop judging everyone else’s. And when we’ve held ourselves accountable we can be a mirror for others to do the same.

Music is not entertainment
human connection > anonymous attention

i want to look into your eyes and feel my own eyes water. i want you to see the little hesitations in my fingers and hear the deep inhale before a song. to offer you my heart unedited and feel the voice move from my chest into yours, then back deeper into mine.

to merge our cries. to hold each other. to sway to a shared rhythm. and for a few seconds to let go of every division and ego we think we carry.

that’s music to me. finding our souls through each other. shared, raw humanity. Community, connection. Hope, grief, rage, celebration, prayer, transcendence, liberation, healing. Not just a “for you” page

streaming is a beautiful tool, as long as it doesn’t replace what music is really about.

BERLIN October 14th
AMSTERDAM October 24

these are my final nights in europe before the road takes me elsewhere. I’ll be sharing them with INCREDIBLY gifted musicians and dear friends, and I’d really love for you to be there. It’s going to be pure magic.

Devotion without indoctrination is an art.

I was raised around many spiritual traditions. I’ve lived in them, served in them and stood on both sides of the altar. I know their beauty and I know their cages to a large degree. I’ve walked away from any structure that prioritised obedience over freedom, no matter how noble it looked. Prayer without worldly action is empty words to get better sleep.

i don’t believe anyone owns or defines what is sacred. No institution can decide who is worthy of being free.

and wisdom comes from lived experience… not borrowed beliefs.

But still theres a fine line. walking away from dogma doesn’t mean walking away from roots. I bow deeply to what was around long before me, to the chants carried by elders across generations so we can still sing them today, charged with centuries of human breath, tears, longing, wars, grief, beauty, grace.

Not religious, but deeply devoted.
To freedom above all, for all.

My story with Green Tara is way too long and intense for Instagram, i keep it close to heart. But what i will say is that in one tale, she was a princess told to pray to be reborn a man in order to reach enlightenment. She refused and vowed instead to awaken as a woman and keep returning until all beings are free.

Today Navratri begins. 9 nights of people across ages and continents honouring the many faces of the mother. Whatever we believe in or don’t, may we remember our innate matriarchal wisdom, the fact that we all come from a woman’s body and that the feminine was never secondary.

Om Tāre Tuttāre Ture Svaha
Jai Maa

Filmed at The Emerald Podcast “Stories at the Threshold” event in Prague, July 2026, with Josh Schrei and Victor Sakshin. There was something pretty epic about singing chants to the Mother from far beyond Europe, inside an old baroque convent….. 🏴‍☠️✊🏾

Art was around before it was even called art.

It predates and outlives the systems that profit from it and is much older than any museums or stages or streaming platforms. It was central to our communities and it had always been the way we make sense of being alive.

Many civilisations have come and gone but their art lasted. Empires fell apart and the poetry of their artists lived on.

For most of human history artists weren’t on the margins of society but at its centre. The griot was the keeper of collective memory, historian, diplomat, advisor to kings. The poet was the conscience of a community and the musician was its medicine, giving sound to grief, celebration and ceremony. They weren’t hobbies. they were the most essential functions a community had.

Then as art became a commodity, artists were seen as its cattle. In 20th century America Jazz musicians were playing sold-out clubs but weren’t allowed to enter through the front door.

Independent artists today are groomed to compromise, harvested to train robots and expected to be grateful for 0.005 cents per stream (as if the thing that moves you to tears is worth less than a fraction of a penny!!)

Art isn’t a product. It’s the mirror society holds up to itself and one of the most honest records of what it even means to be human. It’s precious.

If you’re an artist, keep going. The history of human creativity is a history of people whose work outlasted every institution that dismissed it. Your work matters LONG before anyone validates it. You know its value. Defend it.

If you’re an industry professional making profit off of what someone else poured their soul into… treat it accordingly, or make it yourself.

If you’re a lover of art, support independent artists. Go to their shows. Buy directly from them. Share their work.

The way we treat our artists is the way we treat our humanity. by @journalofthesoul

The oldest medicine
voices, together

things are lighter when we carry them together.

Tomorrow we sing inside the Genezarethkirche, Berlin, 19:00

It feels essential to bring the churches back to the people, as gathering spaces to celebrate, grieve, hold each other. Be human.

With Astralaguna tomorrow night under those high ceilings, we let our voices reverberate, find each other, feel it in our chests.

Please come as you are. Bring someone you love or join alone, it’s going to be pure magic.

Hope to see you there

“Good vibes” isn’t a synonym for “no opinions.”
Spirituality as an aesthetic instead of real-world accountability feels like perfume sprayed over a sewer. It doesn’t feel coherent.

Biology isn’t diplomatic and our cells don’t do neutrality.

Every single one of them works for the health of the whole, and takes its side at all costs unless it’s malfunctioning.

“positivity” without the will to reject moral decay is ultimately avoidance dressed up as enlightenment.

To me, NO is a muscle of my internal value system. If my NO atrophies because silence is easier than discomfort, then it may seem like stillness/peace at first but it’s actually a loss of inner mobility that will deteriorate me in the long term.

Ageing with weak muscles doesn’t seem peaceful at all.

If we have to suppress our sense of accountability and real-world sensitivity to belong to a certain group, or be neutral to prove some spiritual superiority, then A) it’s not a community, it’s a crowd and B) it’s not spirituality, it’s escapism.

A heartfelt guttural NO, backed by the consistent follow-through, can be the most honourable armour around our integrity and natural filter towards clearer values and a healthier whole, and I feel that raw authenticity always leads back to balance , both collectively and personally. Even if it creates some temporary discomfort in the room.

Individualism would tell you otherwise….
But our ‘NO’ isn’t just our own, it’s everyone’s.

A yes that can’t say no is not a sovereign choice, it’s a default. by @journalofthesoul
