The Right Says to the Left, “Sister, Remember”
I had foot surgery this summer and I have some new pieces of metal inside my left foot. At first it seemed like my left foot was a prosthetic, or someone else’s, or possibly partly dead or in a deep sleep. It is in the process of waking up and becoming my own foot again. It has been so interesting. I tried to help. 🤔 taken in Brooklyn, New York by @joyecurtis

Activation studies for works I made in 2023/24.
The first three are game selections: choose and image, then choose and action, loosely based on educational games. The next two are wearing possibilities. The last is an observational drawing of the object being worn. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @joyecurtis

Here are some excerpts from Wells Chandler’s writing about my show, “Horns, Holes, Skins, and Branches @klausgallery for @the_electric_pencil
Many thanks to @bugloverphat for such a thoughtful and extensive work of writing. Link is in bio, and I would encourage anyone interested in comparative religion and myth to read it— lots of good literary references there. I feel like I got a big hug. 💛
I will be at the gallery Saturday at 2 if you would like to visit and try things on. by @joyecurtis
