The news is turbulent, close to home and all over the globe. Hearts and homes are grieving and so we lift up our prayers and our heavy hearts into the Hands that bring healing. I received a phone call the other day from my mama that made me grab ahold of the garment of Jesus for her. Another close family member is walking through a health scare. A dear friend I’ve been praying for, for years, is still in a hospital bed waiting for his healing. And my husband and a young missionary are trying to find water for suffering communities. The Lord led me again to Psalms 91 and all that God has promised us within those verses.

God knew we would need these assurances NOW more than ever. He is not just with us (although that is more than enough—to have a God like ours beside us) He is actively covering us, shielding us, faithfully rescuing us. I know the rescue doesn’t always look the way we thought it would though. Oh friends, I ache for it all. This rescue may not look the way we thought. But here’s what I do know: God is Redeeming everything. His salvation is sure and nothing that happens on this earth can shake it. When we make Him our refuge, we truly can live in peace that He is covering us and protecting us. Devastation, disease, storms, terrorists, governments and regimes: they don’t have the final say.

”Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:25-26🙏 by @joyedicharry

There was a moment in time when I was a young mom that marked me forever. I was tired (the kind of tired you feel in your bones) after a long day that didn’t have enough hours in it. I felt an impression in my heart of God yearning to talk to me. All day I had felt an urgency to spend time with God, almost like He was excited to tell me something and was patiently waiting for me to stop just long enough to listen.

I had finally put my toddlers to bed, picked up piles and piles of laundry and toys and wiped sticky fingerprint smudges off of allllll the furniture. I collapsed, bone-melting exhausted on my couch and said, “Okay, God, what is it you want to say?”

And that’s when He overwhelmed me with a love I will never forget…

God said, in this urgent whisper to my heart, “I wept at your birth.”

I sat completely stunned at what God was saying to me. This is what He had been so excited to tell me all day. All day!!! Tears started rolling down my face.

God continued, “I wept when they placed you in your mother’s arms. I whispered your name into her ear.”

In that moment as a young mom I understood exactly what He was expressing to me and I was completely overwhelmed that God would love me like that.

Before You ever entered this world, You belonged to Him first. And He knew you would encounter pain and He knew it would make you doubt His love, He knew all this and it broke His heart. He knew it all—every sin you would ever commit and every tragedy you would ever walk though, and still He had to give you the choice and the freedom of life. The choice to be His forever or the choice to reject His love.

Can you feel the way the Father’s heart is longing for you to choose Him? He’s already chosen you!

He yearns for time with you because He wants to fill you with good things and the very best thing of all is Himself!!

Open your heart to your Father. Let Him come and fill you up! by @joyedicharry

For years, we gave up having a home for our family of 9 so we could do missions work. When we would return to the states, we slept on couches and air mattresses in others homes and even lived in a women’s shelter at one point. We moved over 14 times in 3 years. Every year, through tears, we would ask God for a home to call our own again. And every year I would tell the kids “God won’t fail.”

Finally, God made a miraculous way for us to purchase a home! But our first walk through of the home was disappointing only because we knew we didn’t have the funds to remodel it and make it feel like it was truly ours. “I’m not finished yet”, God spoke this to me when I was battling discouragement (and feeling guilty for being discouraged in the first place.) Those words brought so much HOPE to my HEART.

Within a month, God came through and a wonderful church blessed us and made it possible for us to begin to remodel the home! 😭🙌. Other brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ also came alongside us to help. 😭

When it comes to praying for others to receive clean water, healing, salvation, and revival, I have FAITH! But it’s often much harder to believe God would do the impossible for ME. He’s better, and so much kinder than I can ever imagine.

God is always working all things together for the GOOD of those who love him and are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28) 😭

If you’re facing discouragement, disappointment or heartache, know that God isn’t finished yet.

He’s working behind the scenes in ways that will one day be revealed as a masterpiece of love for you. by @joyedicharry

This is a MIRACLE SEASON! 😭

I went to the ER on Tuesday, had three undiagnosed attacks. When ultrasound wasn’t available, my son asked for a CT scan. It showed two gallstones 2.5 cm each (about an inch each) but what was more concerning was it showed a suspicious mass behind my breast. The surgeon wanted to rule out cancer before removing my gallbladder bc it has ran in my family (not anymore on Jesus’ Name). Today I had the mammogram and ultrasound and it was completely CLEAR!!! 😭🙏

So many people were praying for me and God used every single prayer to work a miracle !!! Every prayer !! I’m forever thankful !! 😭😭

I didn’t even have time to worry. Joel was out of the country in Nepal and I just felt the PEACE of God surround me and carry me. Isaiah 64:4 was my confidence. God was working while I waited without worry!

Today in the dr office I read Jude 1:1-2 and I’m praying it over those of you who need a miracle too!

“I, Jude, am a slave to Jesus Christ and brother to James, writing to those loved by God the Father, called and kept safe by Jesus Christ. Relax, everything’s coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way!”

You are loved by God!! You are kept safe by Jesus Christ! His love is on the way!!

If you need a miracle, please comment here or send me a DM and I will be praying!!! God is in the miracle business ! 😭😭🙏🙏 by @joyedicharry

Pause & Pray… Drilling has started on a well in the desert of northern Kenya where a CMK missions team visited this year 🙏🙏. We shared the Jesus Story at the remote school and the chief welcomed us into his area. We were all deeply moved by an act of integrity this community’s leadership showed. They welcomed us so warmly and we felt God’s deep love for this village. This is also the school Soul shared the book she is writing with the beautiful children there.

Even the way God led Erick to this spot was clearly God’s direction. We gathered together and prayed with them for God to make a way for a clean water well. It was barely a week later that God provided through Pac Tec Fund!!

“Just lean on me, and just wait and see.
Let me do the working, let peace do the watching.”

Love, Your God

These messages from You are tucked all around me, in snippets of conversations, verses shared from a loved one, reminders of Your Love so capable and caring not a sparrow falls without You knowing and they all find their rest in Your hands.

No ear has heard, no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for Him.

There’s no one like You.
I will wait and I will watch you work.

These boys of mine! I’m so thankful for them! They are truly the most incredible gifts God has given me. I’m a couple days late on the calendar celebrating national son’s day. But I am not missing this chance to say how thankful and blessed I am to have sons like mine! They are truly men that make my heart proud and make heaven cheer 😭❤️. Yesterday I had three gallbladder attacks and Thad drove me to the ER and stayed by my side for 14 hrs in the waiting room, through tests he kindly advocated for me to get, through painful and bizarre episodes we had no answers for. I don’t know what I would have done without him. We finally got a diagnosis that it was gallbladder attacks sometime around 1 am after being there all day.

I am so blessed to have these sons of mine! I love every moment of being their mama ❤️ by @joyedicharry

I’m a day late on the calendar for National Daughters Day, but truthfully, every single day with them has me counting my blessings over and over again.

Being their mom is one of the greatest gifts of my life. They are absolute dreams come true. ❤️ These girls bring so much joy, love, laughter, beauty, and endless creativity into my days. I glimpse God’s heart and the loveliness of heaven shining brilliantly through their lives every single day. I’m just so overwhelmingly thankful God chose me to be their mama. 🤍

I’ll never take these years for granted. 🌼 by @joyedicharry

Sometimes the wait for clean water, for hope, for provision (for the moment you hear about Jesus for the very first time) can feel impossibly long.

Pastor Paulos shared that this community waited 13 years for this well.

Thirteen years of waiting…thirteen years of praying. And now, they have clean water and a connection to servants of God carrying the Gospel.

Our prayers and our obedience to Jesus are never wasted.

So keep praying. Keep going. Keep saying yes to Jesus.

In His time, the harvest will come if we don’t give up. 🌱💧

Astair wrote these words and placed them over a picture she took when she was 14 sitting in the dirt with children from an unreached tribe gathered around her. They played games together as the sun set that day and we returned again the next day for the well celebration. That night under the stars we shared The Jesus Film with them. And the next day we brought solar audio bibles with a portion of the New Testament recorded for the very first time in their clicking tonal language. For three years our family had been praying for a door to open for us to share the Gospel with this unreached tribe we had been researching. The door finally came and we made the long journey. But that day never left Astair’s heart.

She wrote these words as she was contemplating how many in the world are still waiting for someone to share the Gospel with them:

“Somewhere today, someone is living without knowing the love of God. How will they hear unless someone goes? I can’t imagine what it would be like to walk through life without knowing the love of God, without knowing that there is a Father who sees you, loves you, and wants to know you. There are people who feel alone, people who have no one to turn to, people who have never heard that they are deeply loved by their Creator. What if we went?
What if we crossed the street, crossed the city, crossed the ocean?
What if we simply said yes to Jesus and let Him love people through us? Because when we go and share the Gospel, we aren’t just giving someone a message. We’re introducing them to a Friend who will never leave them. His name is Jesus. So maybe this is your sign to go.:)”. —Astair

Chasing sunsets and finding the Cross in the Clouds!
What a way to celebrate our little friend Daisy’s birthday, with love notes from Heaven written in the sky. This kind of birthday tradition is my favorite 💗⛅️ by @joyedicharry
