This village we journeyed to deep in the bush, grueling hours of travel with a CMK missions team back in June, now has CLEAN WATER flowing!! 💦😭. Standing there with these mamas and their babies, elders and their chief from the Samburu tribe, praying in the dust and believing God for a well marked us. This community is special to us, they are special to God, and we are rejoicing over what GOD has done!!

🙏 Special thanks to Pac Tec Fund for sponsoring this well project!!!

Thanks to @erimwesh for the pictures and videos and @simonmutuku.mutiso for drilling!

Pause & Pray… Drilling has started on a well in the desert of northern Kenya where a CMK missions team visited this year 🙏🙏. We shared the Jesus Story at the remote school and the chief welcomed us into his area. We were all deeply moved by an act of integrity this community’s leadership showed. They welcomed us so warmly and we felt God’s deep love for this village. This is also the school Soul shared the book she is writing with the beautiful children there.

Even the way God led Erick to this spot was clearly God’s direction. We gathered together and prayed with them for God to make a way for a clean water well. It was barely a week later that God provided through Pac Tec Fund!!

God is good!!

Sometimes the wait for clean water, for hope, for provision (for the moment you hear about Jesus for the very first time) can feel impossibly long.

Pastor Paulos shared that this community waited 13 years for this well.

Thirteen years of waiting…thirteen years of praying. And now, they have clean water and a connection to servants of God carrying the Gospel.

Our prayers and our obedience to Jesus are never wasted.

So keep praying. Keep going. Keep saying yes to Jesus.

In His time, the harvest will come if we don’t give up. 🌱💧

“Thank you for helping the people of Indonesia. Because now we do not lack water, the water source is already here.”

These are the words of the young people on this island community in Indonesia after receiving a new well. 🥹

It may seem simple to us, as simple as a steady source of clean water. But it is a matter of life of death for so many and it has changed the lives of an entire community.

This brought tears of joy! There have been many challenges to get a drill rig to this remote island village. Many prayers and many months later, God has answered! Our partners in ministry here are now continuing to reach this village with the hope of the Gospel—the Living Water that doesn’t run out.

We are so thankful God has made a way once more!Thank you to everyone who prays, gives, and goes. Together, we get to be part of what God is doing around the world. 🌎💧

Astair wrote these words and placed them over a picture she took when she was 14 sitting in the dirt with children from an unreached tribe gathered around her. They played games together as the sun set that day and we returned again the next day for the well celebration. That night under the stars we shared The Jesus Film with them. And the next day we brought solar audio bibles with a portion of the New Testament recorded for the very first time in their clicking tonal language. For three years our family had been praying for a door to open for us to share the Gospel with this unreached tribe we had been researching. The door finally came and we made the long journey. But that day never left Astair’s heart.

She wrote these words as she was contemplating how many in the world are still waiting for someone to share the Gospel with them:

“Somewhere today, someone is living without knowing the love of God. How will they hear unless someone goes? I can’t imagine what it would be like to walk through life without knowing the love of God, without knowing that there is a Father who sees you, loves you, and wants to know you. There are people who feel alone, people who have no one to turn to, people who have never heard that they are deeply loved by their Creator. What if we went?
What if we crossed the street, crossed the city, crossed the ocean?
What if we simply said yes to Jesus and let Him love people through us? Because when we go and share the Gospel, we aren’t just giving someone a message. We’re introducing them to a Friend who will never leave them. His name is Jesus. So maybe this is your sign to go.:)”. —Astair
