I don’t take opportunities like this lightly.

Last month, I had the pleasure of attending Tori Williams’ Behind the Flowers Academy, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience.

There’s something special about learning from people whose work you’ve admired and experiencing their creativity, knowledge, and generosity up close. Tori and her team welcomed us into their process, shared what they’ve learned, and created space for us to stretch creatively.

Every mentor, teacher, and experience shapes the way I see a room, approach a design, and imagine what’s possible.

Thank you, Tori, @thetw_academy , and the entire Behind the Flowers team, for allowing me to be a student of the craft.

I came home inspired, grateful, and with an even bigger vision for Joyful Events & Decor. ✨

Marquee Numbers & Car Trouble 😩😂
Just another day in the life of an event designer.
Picked up paint ✔️
Car decided it had other plans ✔️
Me praying, “Please don’t let it be the transmission.” 😂
And somehow… we still made it back to the flowers.

Because behind every beautifully designed event are supply runs, loaded vehicles, last-minute problems, a little prayer, and somebody figuring it out as they go. 😂
The pretty part is coming… but THIS is part of event design too.

& it's the engine coils and a few other issues, smh. I told them to fix the part that's making it jerk, the others I'll get them done another day👀🤣
