Based on Anju Singh and Roxanne Nesbitt’s research and methodology I am using the COPY FIRST method - building a copy of a traditional instrument. Here is mid process of making ceramic drum sticks. They are designed to look like traditional drum sticks- different tips, mallets, hot rods and brushes. @meghubert_ceramics guided me with materials and tools as well as techniques. I will be trying these ceramic sticks out on a cymbal installation made from salvaged broken cymbals.

**** In a previous version of this post I incorrectly credited a different person- sincere apologies to Anju and Roxanne for this mistake.

The performance is on March 1 at 7 pm at @progress_lab_1422
