The latest ride to roll out of the shop. 😎 This ‘93 Specialized Rock Hopper Comp was an absolute treat to revive! It belongs to my buddy Chris & it was his first MTB ever, in fact he bought it new in OKC & has owned it all these years. He’s still ripping 33 years later & is an absolute blast to ride/hang with, earlier this year on a ride he asked if I may be interested in building this bike up for his wife as he was looking to get her rolling on a more comfortable bike, of course I said “hell ya” & after getting eyes on this beauty I was even more stoked! Even caked in dust I saw this bikes potential & couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Built up for comfort without compromising in the style department I’m stoked on the final product & even more stoked to know this bike is rolling & being enjoyed all over again. The last slide is the bike when I first got my hands on it.⚡️🖤 Interested in reviving or reimagining your old ride? Give me a shout. 1988 Muddy Fox Courier - Restored & Ready to RIP. A rare find in the United States, featuring the iconic purple to white fade paint scheme that made these bikes instantly recognizable. Built during the golden era of early mountain biking, the Courier represents the transition from handmade, inspired steel bikes into the modern MTB era. The frame is constructed from Tange Japanese chromoly tubing, known for its excellent ride quality, durability, and lightweight feel. The lugged steel frame gives this bike the smooth, lively ride quality that vintage MTB enthusiasts chase. This bike has been fully mechanically restored and is ready to ride: - Fully serviced drivetrain - Fresh cables, seat, pedals & tires - Cleaned & regeased bearings throughout for a smooth ride. One of the coolest details about this bike is how much of it carries the Muddy Fox identity. It features Muddy Fox branded components including: - Original Muddy Fox stem - Muddy Fox handlebars - Muddy Fox hubs - Muddy Fox chainrings - Muddy Fox headset Never heard of Muddy Fox? This all original first year 1987 Raleigh Edge is an exceptional example of one of the most rare & collectible early trials bikes produced. Designed & ridden by MTB pioneer John Olsen (pictured in last slide) the Edge helped define the emerging trials scene with its unmistakable geometry and purpose built design. Finding one of these limited edition bikes is rare but finding one in this condition is even more difficult. This bike is virtually brand new and remains completely original, right down to the factory tires & grips which are both in pristine non-weathered condition. It appears to have seen little to no use & has been preserved remarkably well over the past four decades. The paint, decals, components, & overall presentation are outstanding, making it an excellent candidate for a serious collector, vintage mountain bike enthusiast, or museum-quality display. There are a few blemishes in the paint particularly on the non drive side, assuming from storage over the last 39 years.
