This weekly mystery bakery box from @embelsweet came across my feed and I just had to try it. I LOVED the lemon bar and chocolate chip cookie the most of the box. I was hoping to get this one out before @middlechildphiladelphia ended their BLT season but alas, procrastination/demotivation strikes again.

I had to see if this sandwich was worth all the hype and the hour long line. It’s a very yummy BLT but I don’t think it’s worth $16-21. I think that cost is a little outrageous. Especially after I just made a delicious BLT last night with $3 worth of ingredients and homegrown tomatoes.

Genuinely had the best girls weekend. It was so relaxing and chill and fun. No stress. No drama. Best girls. Best drinks. Best oysters. Best bay beach. Best beach house. What can I say except for wow I’m sad it’s over. I genuinely haven’t felt so tranquil in such a long time.

Also fun fact: it’s been a year since I was diagnosed with cancer. So much can change in a year. I can’t believe I’ve gone through so much in a year. Around this time last year, I was crying in my work bathroom cause I got the call about my news. This year around the same time, I’m smiling on a beach, happy as a clam, feeling at peace for the first time in a long time. Life really comes in waves.

The @elementsfestival dump part 2!! This is the rest of day 2 and day 3.

After Subtronics finished the festival for day 2 we found a good set at the Evol Afters. And I got to hear Sippy cause I missed her in the daytime.

Day 3 was the best day of the fest and ending in such a high note really made this year a positive Elements for me. I attended this meditation that LSDream hosted in the morning. Tbh I’m not a meditation person but something about the words at the end made me cry lol. Then one of our camp members was playing a preparty set at the sound camps. She was really good. Then i saw Griz’s sunset and it was such a Sunday vibe. Also it was so sunny this day which was such a blessing compared to the previous days of storms. Then i mostly camped at Water stage. I saw Koopmusik. He was good. And then I saw CHYL and Sub Focus and they were hands down my FAVORITE sets of the ENTIRE festival!! THEY THREW THE FUCK DOWN!!!! I was dancing SO HARD!! And honestly the first sets that got me jumping all weekend. After Sub Focus, I watched Porter Robinson cause I usually love his sets but because my energy was so high after Sub Focus, his set was just not cutting it lmao. It was kinda slow in the beginning so I went to see I Hate Model’s closing set and it was exactly what I needed cause he was going hard. Andrew even got in the mosh pit lmao. Also I had THE BEST ramen I’ve ever eaten in America and I can’t believe it came from inside a FESTIVAL!! Meya Jiro’s ramen was sooo yummy and rich and garlicky and fatty and chewy uggghhh I still think about it. The food here was sooo good!! Expensive sure but so worth it. I regretted not coming outside to the fest earlier before sunset cause I was so sad when it was over cause I had so much energy and I heard the earlier sets were also really good. But then we ended up chasing unofficial after parties cause there weren’t any official ones since it was Sunday. It was really funny watching security shut them down and then a new one would pop up at someone’s camp like 10ft away 30 seconds later. I ended up partying till 5am. Here’s my @elementsfestival dump pt 1!! I have a lot of videos and pics so I’m actually trying to condense my experience.

Here’s day 1 and bit of day 2. Tbh I had just an okay time on day 1. I got there super late cause I procrastinated packing. Then we drove through storms to get there and the festival was closed due to it. Also our vibe village was flooded. The sets I saw were okay but nothing that really excited me. And i didn’t find any crazy afters. However I did get to try the famous Broccoli Bar and it was surprisingly good! But extremely filling. I couldn’t finish it and Andrew was gagging from the smell of the sauces so I wasted most of it. Day 2 started good but there was a 4 hour gap of time where I wasn’t having a good time and then found the silent disco den and had a blast there for the rest of the festival night. Tbh I wish I checked it out more cause I’m sure there were a lot of fun djs playing it.

This review was longer than a story (1min) so I’m making it a post but I’m semi excited about this ita bag I crowdfunded a while ago. I prob funded it last year and it just came in this week. It’s @dokidokidemon’s Gamebag, made to look like a Gameboy Advance!! So cute!! I love the customization of it. The only downside, and it’s a huge one, is the opening is so tight that it’s no really practical for an everyday bag. So I’ll probably use it a lot less than I want to. Despite it being a chaotic fire hazard, @thelightsfest was such a magical experience. I wish I got better film of it but honestly it’s just something you have to experience for yourself. No camera could capture how magical it is to witness. I even cried cause it felt like this was like a bucket list item I did before I’m to die next week or something lmao. I want to do this again maybe next year cause I missed witnessing the initial launch cause I was STRUGGLING with my lantern lmao (see last slide). But I also wanna just full absorb more of the magic with my eyes and less through a phone

Tonight I tried the new @hotlavapot2321 in Cherry Hill. It’s at 2321 NJ-70 in Cherry Hill, NJ. Full disclosure, the bill was about $100 after tax and tip.

TLDR:
The lobster and Wagyu were the best parts of the experience. And unlimited soft drinks. But the meat I had for bbq was very mid and the sauce bar wasn’t helpful for what I like. The sashimi was not the freshest. The hot pot had a big variety of seafood but a lot weren’t available tonight. Service was good. I liked the tablet system. Dessert was good. I still like Kpot in south philly better for taste and some items but there’s a lot of positives at Hot Lava Pot. Overall I wasn’t wowed and I give it a 7.5/10.

But just for the lobster and Wagyu alone I think it’s worth trying during their grand opening promotional time.

I saw someone post about going to @happydiy_118 recently and I was reminded about how I never posted my creation on here. I went last year with my friends. It’s was a cute time. But I’m actually really proud of it. It’s a compact mirror that I never used lol. But a year later and it doesn’t look like this anymore 🫠. The icing shriveled up now and it’s doesn’t look as detailed. I actually found it again recently and told myself I’d carry it around with me. Still haven’t. #diy #charms by @jpachu16

Sometime weeks ago, I tried out this cute tiny cafe called @desforra_cafe solely on the fact that the empanadas looked great. I’m happy to report that they were indeed. If I lived in this neighborhood then I’d prob eat here weekly. I really liked the empanadas and the Pao de queijo. And there was so much more on the menu I wanted to try. The woman who took my order was also really sweet and made me feel at home.

However there was a lot of loud background noise happening when I was eating and the space was really small and echoey so this video also inspired me to buy a microphone for future videos lmao. So if anyone has any recs, lmk.

RIP my girls: 4/16/97 - 2/25/26

Genuinely I’m so devastated and traumatized by the loss of my breasts. I cried when I saw the scars for the first time yesterday. But all I can do is laugh and keep on keeping on.

Also for people saying I’ll be hotter with new boobs, it doesn’t take away the emotional pain of the amputation/mutilation I’ve received. But thanks anyway for trying.
