Creatively directing, shooting, and editing our anniversary photos these last few years has been so special for me. Last year when we made this place a home I knew this was the direction I wanted to go with.

In the past 5 years I have had the highest highs and lowest lows of my life and through it all you’ve been by my side, and there’s no one else I’d be able to do life with.

Happy 5 years love. by @jpeg.sar

First time shooting in months and I couldn’t think of a better test than only having 20 minutes in rainy Manhattan to see what I could come up with.

Part 1 of 2 of my event coverage for @mai.tappedin ‘s Soul Sista Sunday event @thetappedin.experience .
When I tell you the energy in this room was immaculate y’all, you just had to be there. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard a panel that moved me this much. The space was filled with all the beauty and the brains, along with so much healing energy. Hearing my girl @kw33n__t.y drop some real gems made it that much more special, especially since she recommended me as the photographer for this event. @mai.tappedin thank you for trusting me with something I know meant so much to you, it was a true honor. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @jpeg.sar

The fifth and final set in my Valentine’s Day series: mom and dad
Valentine’s Day has always been about family in this house, especially with my grandpa’s birthday being today (he turns 94 today)!! The years we weren’t at his house celebrating that day, my parents made a reservation for them AND my brother and I to go out to dinner, and at the end of the night we always got a card with a gift card somewhere tucked in it.

To me, that’ll always be such a great show of love and something I plan on doing with my kids.

My parents have opened up their home to SO many friends of mine and my brother and so much love has grown here because of their love.

I’m saying this to say, I know Valentine’s Day can be hard for a lot of people. My words to those people are try to focus on the relationships you do have versus the ones you don’t, because my whole life my family has always been what valentines is about! by @jpeg.sar

Part 4 of the Valentines Day Series: Austin and Anya

The first love most of us feel in this world is the love of a parent, so it was important that as a part of this series I showcased that as well and not just romantic partners. Austin is like a brother to me and watching Anya grow up has been such an amazing privilege, I couldn’t think of a better pair to represent that parent-child dynamic! by @jpeg.sar
