A better world is possible.

Louisville needs big changes to reverse economic and racial inequality. Louisville needs leaders ready to fight for the working class against budgets that prioritize tax deals for wealthy real estate developers over public transportation and basic infrastructure. That's why I'm running for Metro Council in District 6 to fight for you, and for the working class across our city.

Let's put the needs of the many back on the agenda. by @jpforlou

Wondering whether or not your councilor and/or their opponent oppose Steve Poe’s Camp Ground Rd data center?

On August 1st, we sent Metro Council members and Candidates a questionnaire asking them if they oppose the project, along with other important questions that we think will help the People of Louisville make informed choices at the voting booth in November.

JP Lyninger has stood up for the working class and against powerful interests during his time on the Louisville Metro Council. I'm honored to have his endorsement in this race, and look forward to serving alongside JP once I am elected. taken in Louisville, Kentucky by @jpforlou

As power has shifted further from the people, and the billionaire-class increases theirs, our government has become increasingly inaccessible (by design) to working-class people. I want to change that. I chose to run for office because I believe that everyday, ordinary people like you and me are perfectly capable of making decisions about how OUR government should operate. If elected, I plan to establish an advisory council in District 9, open to all residents, allowing ALL of us to come to the table to make decisions that affect our district, because democracy is only as strong as the number of people it brings to the table.

I want to build a better world WITH you, not FOR you. Join me in OUR fight. Donate, volunteer, and learn more at andreaparr.com. by @jpforlou

On March 12th, Metro Council President and Democratic Caucus member Brent Ackerson brought allegations that our very own @jpforlou violated the Metro Council Democratic Caucus rules by endorsing DSA-endorsed Aprile Hearn over incumbent, Donna Purvis. Brent Ackerson also wrote in his allegations, that endorsing against an incumbent “…undermines the broad inclusive coalition that defines the Democrat party”, an ironic statement given that the Louisville Democratic Party has also endorsed Aprile Hearn over incumbent, Donna Purvis. This Caucus rule undermines our democracy and builds consent for career politicians and their policies, and should be removed immediately. by @jpforlou

When President Brent Ackerson voted against taking the masks off of ICE back in December, he said that our ordinance wasn't timely. Since then, the gestapo have shot and killed three people. Two of these deaths—the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti—were filmed. We also know that ICE is operating right now in Louisville. Is it timely yet?

Mayor Greenberg has publicly refused to commit to supporting the ordinance. A recent poll many suspect was fielded by the mayor is trying to sell inaction and capitulation to Trump as a defense of our city. If the mayor wanted this to pass, it would—end of story.

They think that as long as they keep removing our ordinance from the agenda that people in Louisville won't understand that what they're really doing is voting against it, meeting after meeting. That people will give up.

I know they're wrong. I know that people in Louisville are capable of seeing that shell game being played right in front of them, and I know that we won't stand for it. Help organize the people in your life by explaining to them what's happening, and then bring them to City Hall on February 26th so we can show the politicians how wrong they are. by @jpforlou

Today in my neighborhood, another person was assaulted and taken by ICE. No matter what anyone tells you, ICE is here in our city, and it will only get worse if we don't organize. Louisville deserves better than collaborators and appeasement; if you agree, get involved with @louisvillesurj for community defense and @dsalouisville to build working class power and democracy in our lives. by @jpforlou

A completely packed house at @woodbinechamber for the vigil for Alex Pretti and all the others murdered by ICE. So many people are here to stand up for the neighbors and against the fascists in power & their gestapo in the streets that they reached capacity for the venue.

All week, regular every day working class people have asked me what is to be done. The answer is clear, but not easy: we must organize. We don't have power as individuals, we have power collectively; we don't have power as consumers, we have power as workers. We must organize our friends, families, neighbors and coworkers for the power to shut our economy down and demand real change.

Building towards a real, sustained national general strike is no joke. Shawn Fain, the president of the UAW, has called on as many unions as possible to align their contracts to expire on May Day 2028 for a chance to change the entire system, not just details.

In the meantime, we must take action immediately to resist this fascism, to take this threat as seriously as it deserves to be. There can be no business as usual, and we should reject any suggestion that there can be. And while we stand up for our neighbors and people we don't know, we must organize and build power in solidarity.

If you want to get organized, message me. I will help you. by @jpforlou

We’re going to be announcing some really powerful endorsements over the coming days and weeks. There’s no better place to start than with *my* Metro Councilmember JP Lyninger. This is an endorsement that will surprise absolutely nobody, but it’s still a point of pride that I can claim one of my city’s strongest and bravest political leaders as a comrade and as one of my dearest friends. I am honored, as always, to have his support and to continue building this movement with him. by @jpforlou

At a recent @dsalouisville event, someone asked for a definition for 'solidarity.' Solidarity is knowing that an injury to one is an injury to all. Solidarity is understanding that we only have power standing together, shoulder to shoulder. Solidarity is fighting for someone you don't know.

Solidarity is the opposite of what Donald Trump is praising Greenberg and Louisville for—and solidarity is exactly what we need right now. by @jpforlou
