Wondering whether or not your councilor and/or their opponent oppose Steve Poe’s Camp Ground Rd data center?

On August 1st, we sent Metro Council members and Candidates a questionnaire asking them if they oppose the project, along with other important questions that we think will help the People of Louisville make informed choices at the voting booth in November.

The movement is here and ready to fight for you!

I had an amazing time speaking at the DSA Socialist Summit in Chicago, where folks from all over the country came together to learn how to continue to build a movement that puts working people first! We are seeing the fruits of decades of work and electing candidates for change everywhere. From DSA candidates like myself and Mathewos Samson here in Georgia, Claire Valdez in New York, and Chris Rabb in Philly, as well as progressives like Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, people are ready for real change, and for a government that works for us, the people, instead of the mega corporations. Congratulations to ALL the DSA candidates who have won across the country so far and many more to come. On to November and beyond for the people to take our government back!

They call us Bread and Roses cause we got that bread this year: B&R had a blast at Democratic Socialists Summit! 🍞🌹

From organizing the South to launching our National program, Bread and Roses members led the way in sharing lessons that will help DSA build an independent mass movement rooted in labor!

Thank you summit photographers @cg_beng @wyatteynon @zachcaddy @avila.juan927 ✊

JP Lyninger has stood up for the working class and against powerful interests during his time on the Louisville Metro Council. I'm honored to have his endorsement in this race, and look forward to serving alongside JP once I am elected.

As power has shifted further from the people, and the billionaire-class increases theirs, our government has become increasingly inaccessible (by design) to working-class people. I want to change that. I chose to run for office because I believe that everyday, ordinary people like you and me are perfectly capable of making decisions about how OUR government should operate. If elected, I plan to establish an advisory council in District 9, open to all residents, allowing ALL of us to come to the table to make decisions that affect our district, because democracy is only as strong as the number of people it brings to the table.

I want to build a better world WITH you, not FOR you. Join me in OUR fight. Donate, volunteer, and learn more at andreaparr.com.

When you grow up in a city depending on cars to get around, it's wild to see how close our neighborhoods actually are.

The big thing we need to change is how our strollers, seniors and customers actually use the businesses and roads.

Final set of photos from the second half of the No Kings Day 3 rally at Metro Hall in downtown Louisville, Kentucky on March 28, 2026.

Speeches continued with @councilmanjplyninger of Louisville DSA, Councilwoman @shamekaformayor, Candidate for Louisville Mayor 2026, @mom_of_justice from @louisvillesurj, and Jefferson County Clerk @davidyateslouisville.

The rally concluded with a round of open mic speeches. Including a rat taking issue with being compared to Donald Trump.

Second batch of photos from the No Kings Day 3 march through downtown Louisville, Kentucky on March 28, 2026. There will be one more smaller batch of photos coming to end the march and then we’ll move on to the second half of the rally.

If you haven’t already done, find a local political campaign to support. Not just with donations, though those are very important - especially for grassroots campaigns that are not getting corporate or PAC money. But with your time. Phone banking and canvassing are the most significant needs for a campaign. Because regardless of how much money a candidate has, at the end of the day they need to talk with the people who they hope to be their constituents directly. Realistically, they cannot speak with everyone. They need people to speak on their behalf with their fellow community members.

If you don’t feel comfortable joining a campaign directly, you can usually find a local organization, union, etc. that has endorsed and is campaigning on behalf of a candidate.

Also, remember to register or update your registration to vote by your local deadline. Here in Kentucky, this year that deadline is April 20, 2026.

On Thursday evening, LDSA comrades and community members packed Metro Hall to show solidarity with our transgender comrades and neighbors. Relentless and persistent attacks on transgender Americans and Kentuckians at the state and federal level are going largely unchecked by both Democrats and Republicans alike, who, time and again, prove that their loyalty is to the capitalist ruling class whom they truly serve, and that they can abandon our transgender comrades with little to no repercussion. We are asking Louisville Metro Council to make a stand and take urgent action to protect transgender Louisvillians from attacks by both our state and federal governments within Louisville.

Thank you to LDSA comrade @jpforlou for his tireless support and solidarity in this fight! ✊🌹🏳️‍⚧️
