“No hoof, no horse” is an old saying in the horse world and also a golden rule of thumb. Healthy feet and a good farrier are crucial for your horse’s health and performance. The frog’s of a horses foot serve as a shock absorber and it’s very important to keep clean to prevent thrush and lameness from developing. If you’re on Long Island and need a great farrier, I highly recommend @jpoloshoe with his knowledge, expertise, and love for the animal

FUN FACT: a horse’s outer hoof is actually made of keratin, just like our fingernails. So, yes. Horses do get mani / pedi’s

Ok sorry, not sorry! I’m just a very proud father. ☺️
This is a great story… my Niña Bonita Brittany Vasquez Francis called me 9 years ago and said, “daddy can you buy me a horse ??” I was like are you crazy? “But daddy she is cute, one year old and is only five hundred dollars!” I couldn’t say no!! She broke this horse, trained her, and has put so much work into it !! Their achievements this year so far are absolutely amazing… 2 rodeos won , and almost always in the top 10!!! Wow wow wow!! @brittany you are an amazing cowgirl!!! Love you mucho and I know abuelo is smiling down on you and your donkey ❤️🙏🏽❤️ by @jpoloshoe
