What a special evening with JP Soars’ Gypsy Blues Revue with Anne Harris ✨

🎵 JP Soars’ Gypsy Blue Revue with Anne Harris delivers a powerhouse blend of Southern soul, roots, and rock that’s been hailed as “a magical, almost religious musical experience.” With Soars’ award-nominated trio and Anne Harris’s mesmerizing stage presence, this dynamic collaboration is redefining roots music for a new generation.

#ThrowbackThursday to the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, 2009. Believe it or not, that's the same cigar box guitar I'm still playing on stage 17 years later. It's now unrecognizable, covered in stickers and memorabilia from the road and barely recognizable, but it's still the same homemade guitar my brother and I built together all those years back. What a festival this was!

Video is from ShookMeBaby on YouTube.

This little instrument right here is called a Merlin Stick Dulcimer. I carry it around in the van and come up with little ditties on it, and sometimes they turn into songs. One of those songs is Old Silver Bridge, off my new record with Anne Harris, Gypsy Blue Revue.

Filmed live at The Fallout Shelter earlier this year.
