#ThrowbackThursday to the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, 2009. Believe it or not, that's the same cigar box guitar I'm still playing on stage 17 years later. It's now unrecognizable, covered in stickers and memorabilia from the road and barely recognizable, but it's still the same homemade guitar my brother and I built together all those years back. What a festival this was!

Video is from ShookMeBaby on YouTube.

Gypsy Blue Revue is coming to the Poulsbo Blues & Jazz Festival. The project features JP Soars and acclaimed violinist Anne Harris, who has played with Keb' Mo' & Taj Mahal, Otis Taylor, and Cracker. They started working together in 2019 after crossing paths on the festival circuit and teaming up at the Big Blues Bender in Las Vegas. The chemistry was immediate, and they've built a sound from their combined songwriting styles and instrumental chops, with Southern soul, roadhouse blues and rock, and eclectic folk running underneath.

See them at the PB&J February 26 & 27 in downtown Poulsbo. Get tickets through the link in our bio!
