Fountain on Locust, a very pretty restaurant in St.Louis🤩very art deco, loved all the decorations! They are famous for their Dill Pickle Potato Soup, Ice Cream Martinis, the world’s smallest ice cream for 1.5 usd and the world’s smallest sundae😁Jess&I had a whole day in St.Louis to ourselves, I think we did in that day what other people do in a week😁Then we headed to The Sheldon Galleries, where they had mini golf and each hole was designed by different people, some by artists, some by kids, it was super fun!😁Checked out Crown Candy, one of the oldest establishments in St.Louis, with the oldest soda fountain🥤 tried my first salt water taffy, not bad at all😋Then we made it to the City Museum, I don’t believe it’s possible to explain to people what this City Museum is, unless you visit it, it’s a 10 story building, a child of two architects, who wanted to create a super fun and a bit educational space😁it’s full of mosaics, has a tunnel system, that goes between 5 floors, a 10 story slide, largest pencil in the world, a school bus on the roof, aquarium, circus, workshops, pinball machine hall and more!🤯Venice bar is another personal collection that got out of hand, the place is so full of everything, sprinkled with some tiny little jokes here and there😁 Bands were about to perform live, so we decided to stay “just for a couple songs”.
In the end, we were out at midnight and looking for smth to eat, because we didn’t eat anything since lunchtime! And I don’t know if it was the 12 hours without food or what, but Imo’s St.Louis style pizza made with St.Louis cheese Provel, might’ve been the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life! This was the crispiest pizza ever and I think that’s what I appreciate in pizza from now on, no soggy dough, I want it crispy!🍕 taken in St. Louis, Missouri by @jrapppp

My beautiful grandma passed away on Wednesday, and I'm having a hard time comprehending it. I am going to miss her terribly. 💔

I've always dearly admired her strength, sense of humor, and stamina. I don't remember a moment when she wasn't raring to go, whether it was to play trivia, go shopping at Macy's, dine in at her favorite pizza place (Cusanelli's), or head to the pool (remember Choco Tacos @thisissarahlady ?). No matter where she was going, she almost never left the house without her nails painted and bright red lipstick.

In fact, it was Grandma who gave me the confidence to wear red lipstick often, and if she ever saw me without it, she would remind me that I should add it back to my rotation. Through the years, grandma had a beauty that seemed to defy all logic of aging, and perhaps that was because she worked for Estee Lauder for four decades, or perhaps it was because she lived by her mantra: "Don't be a worrywart." She'd often share this wisdom with me our annual trips to Cobblestone, while we stayed up late chatting, laughing and playing cards under the soft light of the screened-in porch while everyone else was asleep.

She showed love for me and her family in countless ways, one being the sheer number of family photos competing for space on her fridge, one accidental door slam away from all falling to the floor. Opening her fridge was practically a sport to see if we could recognize all the moments the images captured. This included pictures of all the "grand pets", and she even, by some miracle unknown to me, managed to remember all of them (4+ cats, 10+ dogs between us all) for Christmas.

You don't think in the moment about all the things you want to say to someone and what you want to thank them for, but I know she knows. It's things like dreamsicle floats, a rafting trip to remember, the Labyrinth, pool noodles, Chinese dinners at Sesame, epic games of Rummikub, Nite Club Nite, incredible stories, and of course lots of laughter.

Love you so much, Grandma 🕊️❤️ by @jrapppp

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 中秋节快乐! Iain surprised me with a box of mooncakes that were a collaboration between local Taiwanese bakery @foundrybakery and Brooklyn based @yunhaishop and let me tell you, these were phenomenal! I miss living in Beijing and eating dozens of decadent mooncakes during this season (calories be damned!) The one cut in half is salted egg yolk and red bean. 😋 🥮🥮🥮 taken in St. Louis, Missouri by @jrapppp
