Today is my favorite day of the year! It's the day we vowed our love in front of family and friends, danced under the stars, and started this incredible part of our journey ♠️

8 years married, almost a decade together and my love grows more for you every day! I love evolving with you, adventuring, life-ing, laughing, loving with you! I love coming home to your face, to feeling your love, to just doom scroll next to you on the couch. This year has been filled with bumps but hitting them together almost makes the stress fun instead of heavy. It's given us time together and time to daydream about our future ✨️ I'm excited to grow old with you, to keep exploring to crush our goals and to seeing where this road takes us!

9 years ago this morning, I woke up surrounded by beauty knowing I'd get to run down the aisle to the love of my life! That day, our day, is still my very favorite day and the day that our life as wife and wife began! We've been through just about everything you can the past 9 years, and every single day I've been grateful that it's you that I'm doing life with. You make it fun, and exciting. You make every day purposeful and keep me wanting to show up the best version of me because you just make me better. I'm so lucky to get to love you and to feel your love, the universe would be a better place if everyone knew how life feels with their soulmate ♠️

I'm madly in love with you, every single part of you and every single day! I think my favorite part is that I still genuinely like you, I like spending all the small moments just existing with you, my best friend. How lucky are we? A sleepover every night with the person who resets your soul and who you can laugh with until you cry. Countless inside jokes, explorations, and lazy days, for forever and always!

Well he's off! Junior year and his first day of his nursing program! Two campuses, two curriculums, lots of buses, and a very heavy backpack. I'm just insanely proud of this human and I'm so excited to see how he grows into this next chapter!

Today, 36 years ago, the love of my life was born! If you know her, then you know she's the hardest working human you've ever met. You know she's dedicated, she's driven, she's stubborn and she pushes you to be the best version of yourself! You know she believes in what's right and always does what she says she is going to do and that you're better just because you have her in your corner.

But I know she also listens to girly music and sings in the shower. She loves sour candy and burgers. She loves long drives to no where. She loves bad reality TV, Disney movies and Call of Duty and when we can be lazy, she's the laziest with me. She encourages me to chase down Natzis and she never backs down to what is right. She is the funniest human I know but also hates to be uncomfortable in any way at all 😂

My love, this year has been hard, not gonna sugar coat that. You had two surgeries, a year of recovery, Dr appts, PT, countless times you could have quit or felt sorry for yourself but you never did! You kept going and loved me SO HARD through everything, you are coming out of this year bigger and badder than you went in and this trip around the sun is set up to be the best yet! I fucking love you, head over heels in love with your sexy ass and I'm so lucky to love and be loved by you!

Gunnor Ray,

Happy sweet 16 to you! I'm unsure how it's possible, but here we are, 16 full laps around the sun. Watching you grow into such an incredible young man has been the biggest joy of my life! You're kind, empathic, smart, funny and all the best parts of all of us. Being your mom is the greatest thing I've ever done because I know how good of a human you are in this world and the value that you bring!

This past year was the year of your special interest (politics) and the fade of the rose color glasses of a perfect world. You've been empowered and inspired and in that, you've empowered and inspired all of us around you. You've taken time to educate, read, open your mind, discuss and it's been such a magical thing to witness. You've grown into such a safe and soft place for your friends and the people you love to land which is so rare to find in someone so 'young'. You're wise beyond your years with your compassion and understanding of the people in the world around you and your knowledge of the hard things make you a perfect sounding board when your circle needs it.

I'm SO proud watching you navigate young adulthood, developing your goals and dreams. You're spreading your wings and with that remember I'll be here if you fall ❤️

Year 8 ❤️♠️ 96 months, or 417 weeks, or 2921 or 2922 days (something about leap years idk), or 70,128 hours - all equals our 8 years of marriage. The traditional theme at 8 years of marriage is bronze or pottery to represent durability and crafted beauty. For 8 years we’ve continued to craft the beautiful life we started a decade ago when we fell in love, and for the last 8 years I’ve had the pleasure of calling you my wife 👰🏻‍♀️💍 Through all my ups and downs this last year you’ve held me up, held this house down, and supported me in ways that idk if I can ever repay. Thank you for loving me how you do, for supporting me in literally everything that I do, and for caring for me when I’m not at my best. Our love makes the non believers believe in true love, and I look forward to a lifetime of crafting our love and life together. And just like that, he's a Sophomore!

He's the best kid, kind, funny, empathic. Each year he keeps maturing into an even better human, who I genuinely enjoy being around. This chapter of parenthood is my favorite, even though it is also so heavy with emotions, watching him go through this journey is just so rewarding!

Today marks another trip around the sun that I got to watch you, you! You've won, you've lost, you've been healthy and injured, you've laughed and cried and laughed so hard you cried. You have been patient and kind even when it's hard, you put everything that you have into everything that you do and you've loved me so good! You should be PROUD of you!

You're the most incredible human I've ever known, to me, our little family, teammates, coaches, coworkers, you always push us to be the best versions of ourselves and in turn, you're elevating each year! I know this year is going to be different than we envisioned, but the growth I've seen in every aspect of you should be celebrated!
