9 years ago this morning, I woke up surrounded by beauty knowing I'd get to run down the aisle to the love of my life! That day, our day, is still my very favorite day and the day that our life as wife and wife began! We've been through just about everything you can the past 9 years, and every single day I've been grateful that it's you that I'm doing life with. You make it fun, and exciting. You make every day purposeful and keep me wanting to show up the best version of me because you just make me better. I'm so lucky to get to love you and to feel your love, the universe would be a better place if everyone knew how life feels with their soulmate ♠️

I'm madly in love with you, every single part of you and every single day! I think my favorite part is that I still genuinely like you, I like spending all the small moments just existing with you, my best friend. How lucky are we? A sleepover every night with the person who resets your soul and who you can laugh with until you cry. Countless inside jokes, explorations, and lazy days, for forever and always!

WORD OF THE WEEK: SAFETY 🛡️

At the end of our Kids Jiu-Jitsu classes, we take a few minutes to sit together and talk about our Word of the Week.

It may look like a simple conversation, but these moments can plant lessons that stay with a child for life. ❤️

This week, our word is SAFETY — on and off the mats.

We talked with our kids about being aware of their surroundings, staying close to their parents in public places, recognizing situations that don’t feel right, and understanding why they should never go anywhere with or trust a stranger simply because that person seems friendly.

Jiu-Jitsu gives children tools to protect themselves physically, but self-defense starts long before a confrontation happens. It starts with awareness, good decisions, confidence, and knowing when to ask for help.

We’re not only teaching Jiu-Jitsu. We’re helping raise confident, aware, respectful, and prepared kids. 🥋

Because some of the most important lessons we teach happen when the training stops and the conversation begins.

Today we celebrate the 30th, aka 40th, grand entrance of the LOML into this world🎉! Happy birthday to my soulmate 🥳🎈! She’s truly the most amazing person I know, inside and out 😍 and graced the world with her presence on this day all those years ago!
Another decade down my love, 4 decades of bringing light to everyone around you, and I have a feeling the next one might be the best one yet! I’ve had the pleasure of watching you reach this milestone, of watching you grow and gain wisdom, gain confidence, gain experience and continue to level up. All while managing to take care of G, the dogs, the casa and me, always holding it all down. Thank you for everything this last year, for all the months I couldn’t help with much, for literally doing everything through those hard times this last year. For holding me up, and holding me through it all, I could not have done it without you. I hope life continues to feel richer, sharper and funner as we continue to embark on this journey called life. I know this day and milestone seem scary, but baby this decade looks good on you 😉😏 wishing you a very happy birthday my Beautiful Queen. You deserve the world and more ♠️❤️
