Join us on August 17 at @sunsetstoop for #SolidarityStoop — an art fundraiser in solidarity with Palestine, Sudan, & Congo. You can expect: local food vendors, a silent art auction, an affordable art market, top notch local DJs, live hiphop, live song, burlesque, circus arts, bellydance, Bhangra, and more. Follow the link in my bio for details on how to attend & get involved. May this evening remind us of all of the gifts we already have to give to the world and how powerful we are when we bring them together. ❤️✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏽✊🏿✨✨✨ taken in Sunset Stoop by @jrubyhoops

Dreaming of summer days with my fishnet stockings in the ocean and beautiful one of a kind mer-friends in the sand nearby 🐚

I’ve been “gone” a while, and that’s not likely to change anytime soon with how busy I am as a law student, but I felt an urge to check back in, share something new, and perhaps reconnect ever so slightly with this side of my community, even if only through likes and comments for the time being. It’s beautiful to know that although I’m the busiest I’ve ever been and can’t perform much at all during this chapter of my life, that this part of me still lives. I hope you’re well. I miss you. I remember when I first played around with blending burlesque and flow arts for @caressedeville ‘s @flirtandflowshow some years ago. I had a blast trying something I had wanted to do for so long while moving in a way that felt familiar and playful. Something a lot of people don’t know is that I spent my childhood formally training in Ballroom dance for over a decade. I still miss it sometimes and am happy to be incorporating more of that sensual movement and energy into my acts in new ways. Looking forward to seeking out opportunities to learn more burlesque technique this year. Stay tuned. 💋✨ by @jrubyhoops

Baby, you bring out the worst in me..
Sometimes when I’m around you I feel like pure evil.
I guess they say nobody’s perfect,
But they’ve never met a devil like you.. 🥀
