Today is @avol.ky’s Dining Out For Life! Restaurants around Lexington are donating 25% of your meal back to AVOL. This is AVOL’s biggest fundraiser of the year and supports the work they do year round to end HIV in Kentucky. I’ll be at Parlour Pizza on Harrodsburg Road from 5:00 - 8:00 pm!

Another stellar summer as a weekend warrior on the Drum Corps International Events Team! This year featured events in San Antonio, Dallas, McKinney, Murfreesboro, Atlanta, and finals at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. It’s a joy to be able to work with so many kind, funny, passionate, and talented people to help bring these events to life. Every summer goes by faster and faster but every summer is also more fun than the last.

A new challenge this year was working the Soundsport International Music and Food Festival and leading stadium load out. I love that even after 15 years in various roles in the drum corps activity there are still new things to learn and new jobs to do. Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, Sophia, and Stan had a lovely afternoon enjoying the meal prep scraps and exploring the yard!! They’re getting so big and I can’t wait until they all start laying eggs. We’ll have about 30 eggs per week next year. taken in Lexington, Kentucky by @jschubs22
