Our last dog could not even see anything on the tv screen. This one interacts with it. This seems to be the proper position for watching the monkey show on Disney +. 🙈 by @jscottmcelroy

At Franklin Co. Community Building today for the first workshop in our Indiana Arts Commission Grant, “Creativity can save a life!” by @jscottmcelroy

Creativity can help us process and cope with difficult events like the recent flooding in Indiana.
Thousands were affected, including many in Franklin County. Earlier this year I received a grant from the Indiana Arts Commission to present a series of creativity workshops with Franklin County nonprofit, Stayin Alive. We're calling them "Creativity Can Save Your Life: Practical Art Tools for Mental Health and Resilience.”
We start Sept 19th in Brookville with an event aimed at helping parents understand the impact of crisis events like the recent flooding and mental health challenges on children and families. It will introduce simple and effective creative tools that can support processing, coping, and resilience at home. The workshop is free.
It's interesting timing, to say the least.
If you know a family in or around Franklin County, Indiana (Batesville, Brookville, Metamora, Connersville, Rushville), consider sending them this info!
