BRANDON CHAN — NEW YORK DEBUT 🇵🇭✨

A first runway. A new city. A story shaped by courage, culture, and purpose.

On September 12, 2026, Brandon Chan made his first fashion show appearance in New York City during New York Fashion Week, showcasing at Asian New York Fashion Week (Asian NYFW) Spring/Summer 2027 at Lavan Midtown.

But this runway was about more than fashion. It was about representing Filipino creativity on a global stage. 🇵🇭

From uncertainty to purpose.
Brandon’s journey began with uncertainty—unsure of where the path would lead. During the pandemic, that uncertainty became clarity, giving him the courage to pursue fashion seriously and turn his creative vision into purpose.

A Filipino perspective.
Growing up in the Philippines shaped Brandon’s appreciation for strong, hardworking women, an influence that continues to inspire and shape the way he sees fashion, beauty, strength, and identity.

Now, that perspective has arrived in New York.

From Manila to the heart of New York City, Filipino designer Veejay Floresca brought heritage, modernity, and a distinctly Filipino perspective to New York Fashion Week SS27.

For her Spring/Summer 2027 presentation, Veejay reimagined traditional Filipino silhouettes for contemporary everyday wear—playing with the timeless Barong Tagalog and transforming its cultural language into modern fashion.

Following her New York Fashion Week debut in February and her Project Runway win last year, SS27 offers a glimpse into the possibility of a future ready-to-wear collection—where Filipino craftsmanship meets the energy of New York.

As a Filipino photographer, it’s always meaningful to witness Filipino creativity take center stage on an international fashion platform. 🇵🇭🗽
