Anesthesia is complicated and still poorly understood.

Many complain anesthesia is still not sufficiently administered to the most vulnerable among us. However, at least since 1987, it’s mandatory for infants.

Medicine is far from perfect, and many doctors try their best, but medicine is a very large ship that changes direction very slowly. If you think medicine has it all figured out… think again.

Chiropractors are not medical doctors.

Chiropractors are not “fake doctors”.

In the same way as a PhD in mathematics isn’t a medical doctor, a doctor of chiropractic is someone who’s mastered a discipline; they’re different fields with a different focus.

This is the story of the first man to hold the title (and literally write THE book titled) chiropractor, Daniel David Palmer, as well as his son, Bartlett Joshua Palmer.

A bad chiropractor can cost you an arm and a leg, literally.

A great chiropractor can be an absolute life saver.

Many of my clients see chiropractors on a regular basis. I’ve worked with good and bad chiropractors over the years. The field, like any other in healthcare, has evolved a lot over the years.

Now, as someone who has had the privilege of working with incredible clients from new moms to world recording holding strongmen, I’m well aware of the incredible toll everything from pregnancy to a sport like strongman can place on the human body, especially the spine.

Almost 100 years ago, the real life events around the USS Indianapolis prompted Quint’s famous line in Jaws:

Obviously, many hormones play key roles in masculine or feminine anatomy, physiology, behavior, etc.

That being said, there are no hormones found in the male body that aren’t in the female body (and vice versa). So when you hear talk of “male” hormones or “female” hormones, ask what message is being conveyed.

Are you hearing it in the context of a simplified scientific education or an elaborate sales pitch?

We rarely make the connection between hormones like prolactin and testosterone, or GLP-1 and Oxytocin. Many are significantly more connected than we realize, so being simplistic isn’t helpful.
