Big start to the year.
Earlier this month at Jonathan Club Art Foundation’s Life and Legacy of Dr. Seuss event reminded me why I love what I do. Bringing joy to collectors and helping meaningful work find the right homes.
This photo hits even more though.
Standing next to my wife Ginger, who not only shows up for me every day but showed her own work and sold it (duh). Proud doesn’t even cover it.
And on the right, the man who brought me into this world and gave me the opportunity to be here in the first place.
Grateful for the wins, the people, and the momentum.

On my birthday, sitting with my grandfather, completely absorbed as he reads The Cat in the Hat.
Little did I know this author, this character, this sense of wonder would follow me into adulthood.
Years later, I’d become the National Gallery Manager for The Art of Dr. Seuss.
Funny how the stories that enchant us early don’t really leave, they just grow up with us.

For all those curious to see our grand entrance and full first dance! Aka a series of tricks strung together ❤️ Skip ahead to 27s to see the splits on the silks, and 40s to see our big spin lift (Jes’s favourite) 😉

I thought about editing this down to 30 seconds, but instead, please enjoy the entire dance, which came out to (just under) 2 minutes ✨

We choreographed the whole thing ourselves, and practiced a lot to bring it to life. It was scary and fun and such a thrill to share it with everyone there, and I am so excited to share and relive it with everyone here.

Thank you to @carra.mellow for the moral support, tips, and helping on the day, @lilfrenchmonstar for teaching me silks, @negaar_spies for housing the equipment and @thedrakehotel for embracing our outrageous ideas 🤩 and to all of our wonderful friends and family for cheering us on!

For THE FIRST TIME here are some of the incredible stills of a day that changed our lives. Our best day.

Suitcases packed full of wedding supplies, and with garments in hand, we left LA for the day we’d been dreaming of. Hearts racing on the rooftop of the Drake Hotel, with our favorite people around us, we promised each other forever.

It’s surreal to look at these images from the other side, to live it all over again, to feel the warmth and excitement, and all the little things that felt like a blur at the time.

The memory of this day lives in our minds as the most magical, love-filled, creative, collaborative and intensely meaningful of our lives. Every drop of rain, every smiling face, everything was meant to be. Our love, our strength, our trust, our joy, our teamwork, our worlds combining, these are the core memories of the day.

Happy tears and lots of laughs. One thing became apparent as the day progressed: we’re so lucky. We’re still brimming with gratitude for each other and for everyone who shared the day with us.

From our vows under the Toronto sky, to the heartfelt toasts, to that perfectly decadent bite of cake, to our first spin on the dance floor, it was pure joy from start to finish.

How do you summarize a wedding in a minute? You can’t. But these are glimpses of moments that will remain memories for a lifetime

Courage. Trust. Timing.

Falling in love was easy. What our wedding day means to us is the promise of making life more meaningful and empowering together forever and with all of you.

Can’t believe we did it! Not without the contributions of so many talented artists, wise words and helpful hands. So much work behind the scenes and many more faces in the crowd. We can’t wait to share more of the festivities 🥳
