“And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed)” - Dr. Seuss

This weekend I was honored to be a part of the “Echoes of Imagination” exhibition at @artleadersgallery . The show presented artwork of Dr. Seuss in an art historical context. The work of art legends like Picasso, Mucha, Dali, Toulouse-Lautrec, de Kooning, and Albers were hung alongside works by Dr Seuss and contemporary artists in curated collections. The collections demonstrated how the influence of the great masters of various art movements ‘echoed’ to Dr Seuss in his art, and then to contemporary artists practicing today. My painting, “Swinging from the Chandelier” was included in the Art Nouveau: Beauty in Nature Collection along with “Flirt” (1899) by Alphonse Mucha and “Chase in the Forest” (1965) by Dr. Seuss. My work has certainly been influenced by these artists- my love of nature in art, precise drafting, love of line and design, and a sense of whimsy are things we have in common. Being presented alongside these art legends, hanging between a Mucha, Dr Seuss and a Picasso, well, let’s just say it was surreal and something I’ll never forget. I also truly enjoyed meeting some wonderful people on Friday night as well - many art enthusiasts, Jes Stiner, National Gallery Manager for The Art of Dr. Seuss Collection (and fellow SCAD graduate), Detroit artist @sheefymcfly , and the most festive, professional, and friendly gallery associates. Thank you @artleadersgallery for an unforgettable experience. #artleadersgallery #drseussart #artcollector #detroitart #northeastohioartist

Back to Savannah for the first time since making the @scadfilm thesis Pest Control! Themes and arguments only more resonant today and deeply connected to the dream for Blades of Grass. Among the whitewashed histories written by empire attempting to erase wise ways are the memorials to Tomochichi. See these two great reads from @community_books_ga for some truth

Celebrating my good fortune today for having had a wonderful Dad! He would have been 100 years old! When this photo was taken we were celebrating his 90th! You’d never know from his contented expression that he was disappointed that he didn’t get to ride in a hot air balloon as we had planned. That was an experience he’d wanted for quite a long time. But that was my Dad— always positive, looking to the sunny side of the street. Memories of him still shine. He is missed!

Big start to the year.
Earlier this month at Jonathan Club Art Foundation’s Life and Legacy of Dr. Seuss event reminded me why I love what I do. Bringing joy to collectors and helping meaningful work find the right homes.
This photo hits even more though.
Standing next to my wife Ginger, who not only shows up for me every day but showed her own work and sold it (duh). Proud doesn’t even cover it.
And on the right, the man who brought me into this world and gave me the opportunity to be here in the first place.
Grateful for the wins, the people, and the momentum.
Just getting started!

There was a time when the Stiner Brothers were part of another family, a distinctly Italian one 😉 check out the #DIY masks for this #comediadelarte production of #volpone

On my birthday, sitting with my grandfather, completely absorbed as he reads The Cat in the Hat.
Little did I know this author, this character, this sense of wonder would follow me into adulthood.
Years later, I’d become the National Gallery Manager for The Art of Dr. Seuss.
Funny how the stories that enchant us early don’t really leave, they just grow up with us.

3 + 4 = 7 — a number that symbolizes introspection and spiritual growth. That’s what 34 gave me… and so much more.
.
Joy, sadness, love, darkness, light — and everything in between.☯️
.
First, #gratitude to @carrieashtonmusic for showing me what a stable, loving relationship looks like- teaching me what I’m truly worthy of and reminding me that someone can #stay even when it’s hard (or when I want to push away😇). My #ocd & #rocd showed up stronger than ever, creating roadblocks and pain but I’m learning regulation and restraint while battling severe anxious spirals. I’m endlessly grateful for you meeting me daily with patience, love, and emotional maturity no matter how I show up.
❤️
Mentally and physically, this year stretched me to the edge. I’ve faced debilitating #mentalhealth lows, #ulcerativecolitis flare-ups, low iron, and hormone imbalances. I’ve uncovered deep wounds around #selfworth , #selflove❤️ , and faced the painful belief that I feel like a burden. Some days felt like survival and others felt like living. And yet…34 brought laughter, joy, travel, growth, adventure, & connections. I’ve shown up more as ME every day, surrounded by loving family and friends. People showed up in ways I can’t describe and amazing memories were built.
✨
I’m slowly learning to trust the #universe and its signs, rather than the anxious, dysregulated brain I’ve lived in for so long.
🙌🏽
Now I step into 35. 3 + 5 = 8, the number of abundance, success, and spiritual alignment. Exactly what I’m calling in. I’ve launched my first podcast @somethingsbrewing_lj , committed to a #meditation practice, and started learning how to feel safe in my own body again. The journey is rocky but the good ones always are. Year 35, I’ll write my first book (you heard it- no backing out now!), keep showing up for my passions-#wellness, #connection , #selfgrowth - keep paying it forward, and I’ll prioritize love, presence, travel, building memories, and deep emotional healing.
🥂
Here’s to 35 — for growth, #selfcompassion , and vitality. 🌿
