We met @ochoblurrz while he was still in barber school and kinda just took a liking to the dude. What I respect about him most is he actually uses the shit we give him. He shows up to Content Night, brings models, and even pulls up on off nights just to use the space and create. And it shows. His cuts are getting better. His content is getting better. He’s getting better. We can provide all the tools and opportunities in the world, but you still gotta show up and use them. Proud of you gang. Keep going. @kutthroatchulavista Since 2021. 18 barbers under one roof.

Chula Vista was our second shop, and getting here wasn’t smooth. That first spot taught us some expensive lessons, but that move put us right where we needed to be, in the heart of Third Ave.

Back in high school, we used to come out here because this was where some of the best barbers and shops were. So being able to build here, hold our own, and be part of that means a lot to me.

Five years later, we’re still here. Same @kutthroatbrand energy, same culture, same standard.

Chula Vista had a legacy in barbering long before us. We’re just proud to add our chapter to it.

If you’re a South Bay barber looking for a shop where you can keep building your clientele, your craft, and your name, hit us up. There might be a chair for you here.

Meet Nelly. What started as a connection through the EDM community on Radiate turned into a regular client and a friendship. Nelly was looking for a barber, found Ozzie, and has been rocking with him ever since.

Y2K Content Night with @razofades 🐆🫟

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to be there that night, and I’m proud that this is the type of work that was put out without me. That’s what makes @kutthroatbrand different. The whole team stepped up, held it down and made it happen.

Razo’s been wanting to get more into color, met his model at the gym and pitched him the idea. From there, he took it all the way. Cheetah print buzz, full Y2K styling, old Benz and a whole concept built around the look.

That’s what Content Night is really about. Having an idea, using the resources around you and actually bringing that shit to life and creating past just the haircut.

Good shit 👏🏽 @razofades, and proud of the whole team for carrying it when I couldn’t be there. 💜

Y2K Content Night 🛹💨

We gave the team a Y2K theme and let everybody interpret it their own way. @jdscuts found Fabian @youngmafiaaa online, knew he was the right model and built the concept around that classic Y2K skater look.

He kept the flow, weight and texture of a traditional skater cut, then modernized it with a cleaner shape and natural C cup. We leaned into skate culture for everything else. Styling, location, photography and even the final presentation, inspired by an old Thrasher Magazine cover.

That’s what Content Night is about. Not just cutting good hair, but learning how to build an idea and actually execute it.

Proud of JD for taking advantage of the resources around him and continuing to push himself.

Barbers & Stylists - September 28th, I’ll be hosting a private Look & Learn here in San Diego.

My goal with this class is simple: bring you digestible, practical knowledge that you can apply immediately to your day-to-day workflow without the pressure of a large class or a high price point.

We’ll break down 2 of the industry’s current popular hairstyles, along with a thorough product & tool segment focused on understanding what to use, when to use it, and why.

This class is curated for those who are on the cusp of wanting to expand their knowledge but may feel overwhelmed by large crowds, expensive classes, or information overload.

I encourage anyone looking to grow, refine their skill set, and step outside their comfort zone to take advantage of this intimate and thorough breakdown of precision shear work and technical application.
