Writing what I never said out loud.

POSTS STORIES REELS
In 2019 I was in college, working full time, had my first son, and my relationship was falling apart. It was one of the hardest years of my life, but it was also when I made the most music. Iā€™d wait until everyone was asleep, lock myself in my room, drink, and write until I had nothing left. Some nights Iā€™d write three or four songs. A lot of them followed me through the years, and some of them still havenā€™t been released. My life is good now. Iā€™m happy, and I wouldnā€™t trade what I have for anything. But every now and then Iā€™ll sit in that same room trying to write, and nothing comes. I remember the feelingā€¦ writing until the pencil went through the paper because I just couldnā€™t get the words out fast enough. Somewhere along the way I taught myself that I could only write when I drank, and that became a cycle Iā€™ve never really been able to shake. I also taught myself that the only things worth writing about were pain, regret, and betrayal. As unhealthy as it was, hearing those experiences turned into music made me feel understood. As messed up as that time was, it gave me something I still canā€™t explain. It gave me songs. It gave me a place to leave everything I couldnā€™t carry. I hate what those years took from me. But as twisted as it sounds, when Iā€™m alone in that same room, I still catch myself wishing I could borrow that version of me for just one night. Not because I miss the pain or the person I was. I miss having that much to say. Thatā€™s what Fortune is. by @jthreeofficial
@vanillanelly_ entrusted me with a spec of her story, and her two wonderful boys. From which I hear seem to be fond of other songs I have šŸ«” The idea came from her to make something that kind of reflected her story with them. Iā€™m keen on only doing things when they feel right, if they feel right. But one night the words wrote themselves and this song came out the other end. This is my favorite song right now, itā€™s unreleased as of now. Thank you šŸ™ by @jthreeofficial
ā€œAbout Meā€ 07/07/26 This song was originally supposed to be on my upcoming album, but the more I listened to it, the more I realized a hard rap track didnā€™t really fit the theme. I went back and forth between shelving it and finding somewhere else to put it, but one night I said fuck it and sent it off to the distributors. Iā€™ve been sleeping, I know. But this year is going to be full of new music. Iā€™ll check back in 18 days. šŸ™ Thank you to everyone who checks in and continues to support me. Love yā€™all always. P.S. The cover is actually a retake of the cover from Before Dawn, a project I dropped when I was going by J Three. Thought itā€™d be cool to revisit where it all started. by @jthreeofficial
