I’ve watched you over the years grow more and more into everything you believe in, your art, your freedom, your spirituality, your connection to nature, the horses, and all the knowledge you’ve gathered along the way. It makes me so happy to see how much of that you’ve turned into a life that feels truly yours.

I’m also so grateful you brought the horses into my life. Neptuno and Banano have been one of the most beautiful discoveries for me in the last years, and I really look forward to learning more from you, from them, and from this whole world you opened for me.
Thank you for everything you’ve shared with me over the years, the beauty, the knowledge, the adventures, the madness, the creativity, all of it. I’m very grateful for the life we’ve shared and for everything that continues to connect us.
I hope this new year brings you even more space to create, expand, love, share, and enjoy everything you’ve worked so hard to build 🙏🏼

Karina, hoje eu quero compartilhar um pouco daquele dia, do seu aniversário, um mês atrás, dia 3 de setembro, aqui em Nova York, essa cidade que vc amava tanto e que vc estava tão feliz de voltar. Eu tive a sorte de passar aquele dia inteiro com vc. A gente andou, andou. Viu arte, dançou, celebrou seu aniversário. Vc estava tão bem, tão feliz. Tinha tanta esperança no ar, seu espírito estava tão vibrante. Aquilo foi tão especial. Foi um dia tão leve, tão bonito. Tinha amor em tudo, em cada gesto, em cada palavra, em cada risada, em cada salto, em cada dança.

A gente se conhece desde os 15 anos, ainda em São Paulo, e depois a vida foi levando a gente pra tantos lugares. A gente se encontrou em tantos cantos do mundo. Viveu tanta coisa em Nova York. Eu vi de perto sua vida, sua carreira na música, na moda. Foram tantos shows, tantas viagens, tantas conversas, tantas risadas. Tanta coisa. E ontem mesmo eu te liguei. Perguntei se vc não queria voltar, se não queria vir cantar, fazer um gig que eu tinha criado pra vc. Deixei uma mensagem. E hoje eu acordei e vc já tinha ido. É muito difícil entender.

Eu só consigo agradecer por todos esses anos de amizade e por toda a alegria que vc colocou na minha vida. Amiga, foram tantos carnavais, tanta alegria, tantos momentos na natureza, no palco, na vida. Com vc, a vida sempre parecia uma festa. Obrigada por todo o carinho, sempre. Vc vai estar comigo pra sempre.

Te amo, Ka. Muito.

There are many ways a horse can help us remember.

Sometimes it happens in stillness, when we slow down enough to listen, connect, and see ourselves through them.

And sometimes it happens like this.

Galloping down a mountain at dusk, moving cattle, dust in the air, the lights of the valley beginning to appear below us.

The connection becomes something you live together. Trust becomes freedom. And somewhere in that freedom is the memory of an ancient relationship between humans and horses. Working together. Moving together. Having fun together.

This too is Wild Awake.

Remembering through connection, freedom and joy.

There are very few humans that incarnate as earth goddesses of striking beauty, bright inner light, fairy godmothers of all children and kittens, delicate songbirds, eccentric extravagant powerful performers, nurturing loyal friends and partners, child like playful spirits with a loudest most contagious laughter that could change a storm into a sunny rainbow filled sky! Karina Stefania Zeviani was exactly that kind of rare incarnation. I feel beyond lucky to have encountered such being and to have received the gift of her friendship and to be loved by her. Since we met, many many moons ago, I’ve always remembered her birthday because it’s one day before my mom’s. I know Virgo ♍️ women well, Karina was an exceptionally and fantastically chaotic one sometimes! Too many amazing stories! What an enormous gift to be able to celebrate her last birthday on this plane… Ka, AMIGA, IRMÃ, maestra de português brasileiro e de presença no palco, e de tantas outras coisas, você é a borboleta galáctica mais bonita do céu, colorindo cada dia e iluminando a noite eterna. Vai borboleta mística cantora, que seu canto continue ressoando nos corações de todos os seres infinitamente. Muito brigada por tanto.
