Neptuno is fire. By nature, by breeding, by spirit. And that’s one of the things I love most about him.

It’s taken us a long time to get to a place where he can relax within that fire. Not lose it, not suppress it, but know that it’s there whenever he needs it.

And at the same time, discover softness, stillness, and the joy of connection.

Seeing him go from all that wild energy to simply choosing to follow me brings me so much joy.

Because it’s never been about taking away his wildness. It’s about allowing him to be everything he is.

And in many ways, that’s what Wild Awake is all about.

There are very few humans that incarnate as earth goddesses of striking beauty, bright inner light, fairy godmothers of all children and kittens, delicate songbirds, eccentric extravagant powerful performers, nurturing loyal friends and partners, child like playful spirits with a loudest most contagious laughter that could change a storm into a sunny rainbow filled sky! Karina Stefania Zeviani was exactly that kind of rare incarnation. I feel beyond lucky to have encountered such being and to have received the gift of her friendship and to be loved by her. Since we met, many many moons ago, I’ve always remembered her birthday because it’s one day before my mom’s. I know Virgo ♍️ women well, Karina was an exceptionally and fantastically chaotic one sometimes! Too many amazing stories! What an enormous gift to be able to celebrate her last birthday on this plane… Ka, AMIGA, IRMÃ, maestra de português brasileiro e de presença no palco, e de tantas outras coisas, você é a borboleta galáctica mais bonita do céu, colorindo cada dia e iluminando a noite eterna. nossa muda mutante,
amigona diva, encantada,
a mais esbelta e lúdica,
musical, colorida , alva, forte,
obstinada com a criatividade e a arte…, amante dos gatos….eu ainda estou muito desacreditada que não te verei mais nessa vida da terra Kaka, …
e nem ouvir tua voz em nossas longas conversas …
gata cósmica, quantos roles a vida nos deu! não foi? quanta gente maravilhosa conhecemos juntas e em tantos lugares desse mundão.., tínhamos uns 20 poucos anos.., (2002,3 talvez ? ) eu já era do Nublu, foi dpois de um show do Brazilian Girls ..e entre idas e vindas, nunca mais deixamos de nos ver e falar, e fizemos algumas fotos juntas…
vc partiu quinta dia 1 e eu a dois dias buscando imagens .., achei algumas (pq muitas estão em filme mesmo) …..
agora a nossa familia nova Iorquina vai ter um vazio , e foram tantas risadas, música, gigs , convivencias, viagens, nublu em nosso golden years!

To Ka, our ever-evolving, transformative spirit, dearest friend, diva, the most slender and playful, musical, colorful, radiant, loving, strong, Kaka…Cosmic cat, what a journey life took us on, right? So many wonderful people we v met together, and in so many places across this big wide world... We were in our early twenties... (2002 or 2003, maybe?) I don't quite recall; I was already part of Nublu’s ⭐️ —it was after a Brazilian Girls gig... and through all the comings and goings, we never stopped seeing each other, and we even did a few photoshoots together. …Now our nyc family will have a void to fill,
So much joy , music, magic, gigs, trips, and Nublu hang outs during our golden years!
Love you so much, and I’m grateful for the incredible, happy moments we shared—so glad we had them (some with my girls too!).
Rest in peace, my friend. You’ve turned into a blue butterfly now, and you’re up to enchant the cosmos with your beautiful voice, Ka ❤️⭐️

Horses, mountains, long rides, freedom, connection, and a lot of laughter.

There is something very special about opening this world to others and seeing where it takes us.

There are many ways a horse can help us remember.

Sometimes it happens in stillness, when we slow down enough to listen, connect, and see ourselves through them.

And sometimes it happens like this.

Galloping down a mountain at dusk, moving cattle, dust in the air, the lights of the valley beginning to appear below us.

The connection becomes something you live together. Trust becomes freedom. And somewhere in that freedom is the memory of an ancient relationship between humans and horses. Working together. Moving together. Having fun together.

This too is Wild Awake.

Remembering through connection, freedom and joy.

Sometimes there is nothing to teach.

Just time. Presence. Trust.

A few days living with me and the horses at the ranch. Sharing the days as they happen, working together, learning to listen, and slowly discovering that the less we try to control, the more becomes possible.

This is Ayan, 14, who came with his brother Aria and his father Wuwa to spend some time with me in Ecuador.

No command. No trick. Just trust.
