We’ll be in Santa Monica today. 🛼🌴

Rink Report is headed to Aperol & APIs, a rooftop social hour for founders from the Vonage Startup Program, part of LA Tech Week. Today, Wednesday, October 14, 4 to 6 PM.

Why Vonage? Their APIs power the text messages and voice calls behind Roll Safe, our check-in feature. When a skater’s check-in goes overdue, or they ask for help, Vonage is what reaches their emergency contacts. Roll Safe sessions are free for every skater, so we’re glad to say thank you in person.

If you’ll be on that rooftop, come find us and say hi. Quad skates, rinks and sessions near you are all fair game.

Not in Santa Monica? Rink Report maps 34 places to roll within 25 miles of that rooftop alone. Find your next floor at rinkreport.app. Link in bio.

Tonight I’m on stage at PitchLive.LA for LA Tech Week, talking about Rink Report. 🛼

I started skating at Holiday Skate Center in Orange. Every time I wanted to know which rink was open that night, the answer was buried in an Instagram post, a Facebook page or a PDF, and half the time the rink had closed. So I built the thing I wanted: a live guide for roller skaters, with every place checked by a person.

Today it covers 1,292 places in 74 countries, close to 4,000 sessions and events, and safety tools like Roll Safe for skating alone. It is about ten weeks old and I built it solo, so I’m still the first person to tell you what is missing. Thank you to every skater, rink owner and host who helped me get it this far.

If you’re at the event, come say hi. If you’re not, the app is free: rinkreport.app

The Last Song. 🛼
A memorial for the rinks that closed for good, with their history and where each fact comes from.
World on Wheels, Mid-City Los Angeles, 1981 to 2020. It grew into the heart of the city’s Black indoor skating scene, built on hip-hop and R&B. It closed in 2013, reopened in 2017 with investment from Nipsey Hussle and promoter Tommy Karas, and closed again in 2020.
Holiday Skate Center, Orange, California, 1973 to 2026. Fifty-three years on Wayfield Street. Its final sessions were on August 2, 2026, after the lease ended and the property owner chose not to renew.
Skated at either one? Tell us what the floor sounded like and who you skated with: rinkreport.app/last-song. We ask before anything you share is shown.

Your skate scene just got a glow-up. 🛼✨

Rink Report has a new look, and it all comes from how skaters actually use it.

🎬 Hosts get top billing. Every DJ, instructor, crew, shop and rental now has a poster, a tagline and their next show, with a stripe in their colour.

🎟️ Events are tickets. The flyer on top, then a stub with the day, the time and the place, and one tap to say you’re going.

💻 Built for the big screen. On a laptop the list and the map sit side by side, and spot pages use the whole width. Phones look just like before.

🌗 Easier to read, day and night. We checked the text against its background in light and dark mode on every page.

Same free spots and events, just nicer to look at. Which spot or host should we feature next? Tell us in the app with Suggest a fix.

Roller skating, mapped on six continents. 🌍🛼

Rink Report started in Southern California. Today there are 1,270+ verified places to skate in 75 countries: indoor rinks, outdoor plazas, skate parks and trails, from Venice Beach to London, Seoul, São Paulo, Melbourne and Nairobi.

Every spot is checked by a person before it goes live, and we keep re-checking for closures, so you know before you roll.

Swipe for a few of our favorites. Is your rink missing? Request your area in the app and we will go map it. Find it all at rinkreport.app

📍 Live conditions: crowd levels, floor conditions and music vibes, reported by skaters who were just there
🎟️ Skate nights, roll-ups and pop-ups, with tickets a tap away
🛡️ Roll Safe: a check-in timer that alerts your emergency contacts if you don’t show up. A safety net, not live tracking.
🗺️ Every rink, park and path on one dark-mode map
🎨 Dark-first, purple-led, with a gold accent for the moments that matter

It’s the same craft we bring to every client project: web design, graphic design and monthly maintenance, based in Southern California.

We just went global 🌍🛼

57 new regions live on Rink Report right now — 29 U.S. states/territories and 28 countries, across every continent. The Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Asia, South America, Oceania — if you skate anywhere in the world, there’s a real shot your local spot just showed up.

We also rebuilt how you browse it: pick a continent, then your country, then your state or city. So much new ground, it needed its own nav.

This week’s newsletter has the full rundown (tier reminder + iOS update — early October 👀). Subscribe at the link in bio, and if Rink Report’s been useful, the biggest thing you can do is share it — tag a skater in your new city.
