Thanks to my former @ncculawschool students Victoria Rushin and Harrison Do for having me on their all-star Women in the Law panel featuring @riggsforourcourts and Judges Walker, Mitchell, and Rhinehart. An amazing conversation!

One of the questions they asked me is how men can be better colleagues. I talked about a study from last decade showing female Supreme Court justices were interrupted far more frequently—both by male peers and advocates. The lesson? Take a beat. Hear your colleagues out. Listen to what they have to ask. taken in North Carolina Central University School of Law Library by @judgechrisbrook

Another weekend on the move! Representative @clyburnsc06 firing up the @orangedemsnc Saturday morning to an evening with friends at the @blackpoliticalcaucus of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Legends & Legacy Gala to the Mint Museum on Sunday.

And, yes, Moira had to wear a gown and I had to wear a suit on the train down to Charlotte. And, yes, I know a gown on a (cold) train is a little more complicated than a suit. by @judgechrisbrook

Jan Allen was a hero, fighting for progressive causes and to elect pro-choice women. Thanks to @lillianslist for celebrating her legacy and honoring those—@riggsforourcourts @nataliefornc @pratherfornc—carrying it forward with the Jan Allen Courage Award. by @judgechrisbrook

What a treat moderating a panel of stars—Judges @joalbroun, Dorothy Hairston Mitchell, @alysongrine and @tobyhampson4nc—discussing how our trial and appellate courts impact people’s lives. Anybody who thinks we can’t have a judiciary that reflects all the strengths of our state missed out on the panel yesterday!

Thanks to the Mu Omicron Omega and Psi Gamma Omega chapters of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for bringing us together. And thanks to everyone who attended for all they are doing this fall to get the word out about judicial elections! by @judgechrisbrook

Honored to join @unchumanities and @unc_law Professors Gerhardt, Jain, and Muller to talk about the federal Supreme Court (and the increasing importance of state courts). Hard to think of a better time with the 26-27 SCOTUS term starting next week! by @judgechrisbrook
