Helping dad build an unbreakable bond with his daughters💜
Be the father she needs @ every stage of life

Dad, sometimes “nothing” really means:

“I don’t know how to tell you what I need yet. Can I just stay close?”

You don’t always have to fix it.

Sometimes you just need to leave the door open long enough for her to walk through it.

One of the greatest gifts a father can give his daughter isn’t control over her choices.

It’s wisdom before she has to make them.

Prepare her to recognise manipulation.
Prepare her to trust her discernment.
Prepare her to know that love never requires her to abandon herself.

Because protecting her future isn’t about raising her to be afraid.

It’s about raising her to be wise.

Some people call it luck.

I call it living loved.

The older I get, the more I realize God cares about the little things too.

Even ugly cedar trees.

And sometimes… He answers with a sense of humor. 😂🌲

From Eden to Noah to Babylon, there’s a pattern in the Bible that should make every husband and wife stop and THINK!

And I’m starting to wonder...

Has humanity learned ANYTHING? 😂

Seriously!

Adam and Eve had ONE command not to break.

And along comes the serpent with a different opinion.

And what happened?

They listened!

Fast forward roughly 1,500 years.

Humanity had become so corrupt that Abba brought the flood in Noah’s day.

Eight people survived.

EIGHT!

You’d think that would have been a pretty unforgettable lesson, wouldn’t you? 😂

But apparently, we have short memories!

Because after the flood, what happened?

More wickedness.

More rebellion.

Sodom and Gomorrah.

And eventually, Babylon.

Different generations.

Different circumstances.

But do you see the PATTERN?

Humanity keeps listening to the wrong voices, making destructive choices, and wondering why everything falls apart!

And here’s what really got my attention.

Abba reminded me that He watches over His Word to perform it.

Jeremiah 1:12.

And Revelation tells us Babylon WILL fall.

So here’s my question.

If we KNOW where rebellion leads...

WHY do we keep following the same path?

Now, I can’t change the whole world.

And neither can you.

But we CAN change what happens in our own homes.

Husbands and wives, we can stop repeating the mistakes of yesterday.

We can stop listening to every voice EXCEPT Abba’s.

We can THINK together.

PLAN together.

ACT together.

With Abba’s direction.

Because maybe the way we stop passing destruction from one generation to the next...

Is to stop teaching our children the same destructive habits we’ve inherited!

Now, here’s my food for thought.

Is humanity learning from history, or are we just getting better at repeating it?

My new boundary is: I do not approve of your gambling & lack of accountability therefore I will not be accompanying you to the casino anymore💜💪🏼 by @judiwhitesdad

WHAT IF ADAM AND EVE HAD JUST ASKED ABBA FIRST? 🍎😂

Seriously, husbands and wives, think about that for a minute!

The serpent planted doubt.

A decision was made.

And the consequences reached far beyond the Garden of Eden.

Now, I can’t tell you what would have happened if Adam and Eve had stopped and gone to Abba.

But I CAN tell you what 41 years of marriage have taught me.

When we leave Abba out of our decisions, we can create problems we never needed to have.

And here’s something else.

Our children are watching.

They’re learning how husbands and wives communicate.

How we handle disagreements.

How we make decisions.

How we treat each other when life gets difficult.

Dads, your daughters are watching how you love and respect their mother.

Moms, your children are learning from you too.

Genesis 2:24 tells us husband and wife become one flesh.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us that a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

And 1 Corinthians 7:14 speaks about the sanctifying influence within a believing household.

So here’s my proposal.

🤝 THINK together.

🤝 PLAN together.

🤝 ACT together.

And NEVER leave Abba out of the conversation.

Because our decisions don’t just affect our marriages.

They help shape what our children believe relationships should look like.

💭 FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

What if the greatest marriage lesson from Eden isn’t just about what Adam and Eve did wrong, but about WHO they should have consulted before acting?

Do you agree or disagree? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

I’ve been married 41 years, and I think the whole 50/50 marriage idea is causing more problems than it’s solving.

Now, before somebody throws a frying pan at me, hear me out! 😂

I recently had a conversation with a couple who split the household chores right down the middle.

And they’re happy!

Wonderful. But that’s not how my marriage worked.

My husband earned the money. I raised our children, ran the home, and when I worked, my money went into the same pot.

Now the children are grown, and suddenly there’s this expectation that I should go get a job.

Excuse me? 😂

I haven’t been sitting around waiting for a hobby!

And here’s what 41 years taught me.

A marriage doesn’t have to be 50/50 to be healthy.

But both people need a voice, freedom, and respect.

Because the real problem isn’t who washes the dishes.

It’s when love turns into a scoreboard.

So tell me, should marriage be 50/50, or should every couple decide what works for them?

A lie might get you out of trouble today and cost you a relationship tomorrow.

The dangerous thing about lying is that it can become so familiar we stop recognizing it.

But truth is something we can choose, practice, and grow in.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” John 14:6.

And John 8:32 reminds us that the truth will set us free.

If you’ve damaged trust, don’t just promise to change. Start living differently.

💜 Question: Have you ever discovered that someone knew you were lying but never confronted you?

💛 DADS, DOES YOUR DAUGHTER KNOW HOW MUCH SHE MATTERS?

Not just that you love her.

But that you LIKE her.

That her laugh makes your day better.

That her presence brings something into this world nobody else can bring.

I once walked through a heartbreaking experience with a young man who didn’t seem to recognize how much joy he brought to others.

Thankfully, he’s still here today. 🙏

It reminded me of something I believe deeply.

The enemy wants our children to question their worth.

But as fathers, we have an opportunity to speak life into our daughters.

And here’s the thing.

You don’t have to have all the answers.

You do need to show up, listen, and remind her that she matters.

Not just when she’s achieving something.

Not just when she’s behaving perfectly.

But because she’s HER. ❤️

Dads, what’s one thing you genuinely love about your daughter’s personality?

Tell me in the comments. 👇

And if this speaks to your heart, share it with another dad.

DAD, YOU’RE NOT THE MASTER BUILDER. 👀

You’re the steward of something precious.

God placed gifts, purpose and potential inside your daughter long before you held her in your arms.

And here’s the thing...

You don’t have to know everything to be a great dad.

(Thank goodness, because daughters don’t come with instruction manuals! 😂)

But you CAN ask the One who created her to show you what she needs.

🙏 Pray for wisdom.
🙏 Pray for her protection.
🙏 Pray to recognize her gifts.
🙏 Pray to love her the way her Heavenly Father does.

Your daughter doesn’t need a perfect father.

She needs a father willing to keep learning from her perfect Heavenly Father.

Here’s my question: Do you believe a father’s prayers can change the way he parents his daughter?

I used to think being an open book was a sign of good character.

Turns out, not everyone reading the book has good intentions! 😂

I learned that lesson the hard way.

But here’s something I want every dad raising a daughter to think about.

Your daughter needs more than advice about choosing good friends.

She needs to learn what a trustworthy heart actually looks like.

And Dad, she’s watching how YOU handle her trust too.

When she shares something embarrassing, do you protect her dignity?

When she makes a mistake, can she still come to you?

When she says no, do you listen?

Because trust isn’t built by demanding honesty.

It’s built by showing someone they’re safe being honest with you. ❤️

Dads, what’s one thing your daughter should NEVER have to question about your love?
